Ray or Fran
October 5th 03, 11:50 PM
It's furry quiet in here ... maybe effuryone is making plans for the
Jellicle Ball this Friday. Weze knowz the girlcats will need to get theirz
pawz done and theirz outfits ... weze knowz the boycats will want to luk
theirz bestest too. But.....

Let's see ... weze knowz the location - Stonehedge

Weze got a guestbook keeper (fangu for that)

Mietze will so capably do the calling of names

But weze need musicians and decorations and food and perhaps some tents or
somefing (weze finks weze rememfur someone saying theyze can get their folkz
tents, but not sure).

So hey effuryone - Gretchen Marie weze needz youze special decorating touch
and energy and Samantha ... youze one of ourz musicians (taking after youze
Uncle Siggy) weze needs youze help, effuryone's help!.

Weze can't do effurything

Punkins & Puddi Cat
(hoping that effurything falls into place like usual as theyz also
contemplate what theyze want to say in a tribute theirownselves)

I can bring a couple uv dining tents. I can play my purrpaws keyboard,
and my brofur Sammy can play de mandolin. Niever of us sing much (we
mostly just squeak once in a while), but we'z good at music. We can
prolly get my sisfurs Amelia and CLeocatra to sing - they'z good
singers, and I fink they'd be honored to help out with somefing as
worthwhile as the Jellicle Ball and de rememberance of those who have
left us.

Wonderful Shaina. Effuryone knows that Siamese have wonderful voices.
Youze should hear some of the stories and songs of the Siamese Cat Chorale
(open to all furs of course) that Celidih (RB) started. Weze fink there
are still songbooks around .. maybe weze can find those.

And weze glad for helping decorating.

With effuryone pulling together this will be a wonderful Jellicle Ball.

That sounds like a gud start Callisto and Xena. Fangu for your for
offering youze voices and decorating help.

Maybe youze two and Shaina and family could be responsible for the
decorating ifn weze not asking too much. Weze knowz youze all will do a
wonderful job and that way weze can find local caterers and not be too
stretched out and not do anyfing right.

Wonderful Dyna. The kandulz will luk lovely in the glasses and will give
such a nice glow. What a gud gud idea.

And fank youze Meowmie for the food. Weze need to get in touch with a local
caterer whoze will handle effurything weze need to have supplied at a
moments notice. Weze got some ideas but needz to check.

We fink effurything will go well Mietze... it just takes us oldtimers to
give a nudge here and there.

Weze finking that Shamrock catering has a branch office in England that's
still in business. Theyze can provide us with effurything weze need in the
way of beverages (nipped and non-nipped for the kittens) and food that the
participants dont bring. Maybe weze can get Spikes champagne fountain too.

Meowmie has been looking through the archives to see ifn shez can find some
of the stories to post (most likely Sunday since shez tied up for the ball &
Saturday itself) ifn Gretchen Marie doesn't post them.

Weze knowz that cat time applies so weze not worried.

Punkins & Puddi Cat
(furry happy effurything is coming together so well)

Oh my! I'ze furry flattered dat Siggy wud mention me. He wuz a furry fine
cat anna I wuz purrowd to call him Furrend.

Mebbe we'ze cud getz da Chieftains or Altan. Dere furry gud fur hoomins.
Has Anti Gwen efur herd a harper named Patrick Bell (no relation to Derek
Bell [RB] of the Chieftains]? He plays the metal stringed Irish harp
(played with the fingernails as opposed to the nylon strung highland harp
that is played with the finger pads like the concert harp). Meowmie sez dat
da moosik in da Summerlands must sound like Patrick Ball.

Boogie, feelin his Irish roots

Yes -- hiz name is onna roster! Ceilidh Flurrydance, da Founding
Direktor, always sed NOCAT singz az gud az SIAMEZE! My purrrrsonal, tabby
opinion, iz dat da Chorale got efen better when more other kinds uv catz
joined -- it'z furry versatile dat way, but efen I haf to admit dat
hoominz are *espeshully* impurrressed wif a chorus uv Siameze. If only
hoominz cud sing az gud. --Tally, who puts her ears bak an triez to get
