Hardly an Islamic position, and even for the Jihadists it seems a bit
contradictory. All the article mentions is making it illegal to breed
cats indoors. Odd, but then again I've never bred cats indoors and
think that intentionally breeding cats is sort of repulsive. There are
plenty to go around without needing to breed them.

And as this is juxtaposed with the article about the cat being
memorialized in Instanbul, perhaps Dr. Hellman should try to contain
his anti-Muslim hysteria.

story.

What was issued was a fatwa against breeding cats in homes.
Nothing more.

The original link even says

"But it appears to have all just been a propaganda stunt to attract a new
breed of young fighters."
