Just noticed this message. My sister uses wood pellets as a litter and
I believe she gets them at Costco. They're a seasonal item, though.
During the off season she buys the pellet litter that PetSmart sells
under their brand name.

I know someone who uses chicken food as litter. She says it's similar to
Swheat Scoop only a lot cheaper. She said to get the "crumbles" kind.
