but my head is swimming with MAC commands, QuarkExpress, and NewsProEdit.
Geez... I know how to do most of the things on a PC but trying to translate
that...Anyway, I think (I hope) my new employers are tolerating me as I
learn my new skills. I had my first two UNCHANGED headlines printed today.

Anyway, purrs and prayers for all those that need them and I'll try to sneak
in from time to time until I get a handle on this thing...

WTG Roger. Two UNCHANGED headlines in ONE day. Seriously, that's
progress, and you haven't even been there a week yet. You do what you
need to via the job, we'll understand and wait impatiently for the next
installment of life from the cats' POV.

Cool, Roger! It would be so exciting to see a familiar name in a byline!

Gennie (who's worked in publishing for 20+ years w/o a byline 'cause she's in
the production end o' things...)

Well...I'm just a lowly copy editor so I don't get bylines either--unless I
design the food feature page on Wed. but I'm a LONG way off from that.
Anyway, for those of you who are interested....

You'll do fine. Mac is so easy once you get the hang of it...I really find the
PC very awkward, especially with Pagemaker. It sounds like a first-class
operation judging from the website. Sounds like you guys do a lot of commercial
printing too.
