View Full Version : Ripped off by the Science Diet Advanced Protection rebate pet food

I just wanted to warn all to be careful about buying the Science Diet
Advanced Protection pet food to get the $9 rebate (free after). Hill's Pet
Nutrition sent me my rebate back saying they had to return my submission
because the incorrect UPC proof of purchase symbol(s) was submitted. And
it had all these conditions stated on it afterwards.

$9 for 3.5 lb bag of cat food. If I didn't love my cat, I would go down
there and kick their butts myself for weaseling out of the rebate.

All you have to do is submit the right information back to them and you'll
get the rebate.

Usually to get a rebate it's an original, or copy of, the store receipt, an
original UPC bar code from the item and a filled out rebate form

It's not rocket science but people do manage to flub it up. My mom just
recently screwed one up - she sent in what she thought was the UPC code but
it was not - so she got all her stuff back from the rebate company and she
simply resubmitted it to them w/the correct UPC.

Can't you just submit the correct info? What are the conditions that are
difficult to meet?

actually
this speaks very well for science diet

it;s the first time i;ve ever heard of a customer submitting a rebate
incorrectly
and getting it returned in order to have the error corrected

generally, most mfgs just throw out the incorrect rebate thus never even
allowing
a second chance!
