He's driving me crazy!!

I have a beutiful brown spotted Bengal who is gorgeous and I love him to
bits, but he has one habit that is driving me crazy. I have a window that I
have put venetian blinds on so I can see my computer screen better on sunny
days. Even though the cat always had a window he preferred to look out of
he has decided that during the night he wants to sit on the window with the
blinds on. This usually happens at between 2am and 5am and the noise he
makes trying to get through the blinds wakes up the whole household.

I can't leave the blinds open as I don't want to have my computer on display
to the outside. Is there anything I can do to deter him from wanting to go
anywhere near the blinds? I wonderred if there was a houseplant or
something smelly that cats hate that I could use to deter him from coming
near.

Any thoughts would be gratefull received.

Fabric vertical blinds might be the answer. He would still have the
opportunity to look outside and you and your family would be able to sleep
through the night. :c)

Fabric vertical blinds might be the answer. He would still have the
opportunity to look outside and you and your family would be able to sleep
through the night. :c)

Most cats hate citrus, especially fresh orange rinds. A nice, fragrant
citrus air freshener right on the sill might work.

I myself sleep like a log, so the kids can pretty much do whatever they
want to the blinds at my place. Or to me. I understand they walk on my
face from what my Mom said when I spent the night at her place for
Christmas. *heh*

Most cats hate citrus, especially fresh orange rinds. A nice, fragrant
citrus air freshener right on the sill might work.

Are your blinds verticle or horizontal? My cat was doing that and she bent
some of the horizontal blinds so I replaced them with verticle (made less
noise too).

Can you mount the blinds farther out from the window frame so the cat can
get behind them without rattling them? Install something between the
window and the blinds mounting hardware so they're actually slightly more
into the room and not flush up against the window?

I'm not sure I'm describing this well.

We are in the process of switching the foyer and kitchen (yeah Tuck gets on
the counters after everyone is in bed, little stinker). Tucker has virtually
ruined the foyer ones, because he climbs between the slats of the horizontal
blinds. With the horizontal in the living room he just walks between them.

I've got bamboo blinds in my bedroom. My cat can see through them but you
can't see through from the outside unless your right up close to the window.
It works for me anyway!

I prefer sheers in the formal rooms and my bedroom. Have you seen what
cats can do to sheers? :) Not shredded, but scores of little claw
holes and pulls. I wish I liked vertical blinds. Truth be told, I
don't like blinds at all.

I have 2 lemon airfreshners, one on the windowsill, one on my
