View Full Version : Sarsi buys lunch!

Last night as we were getting ready to go to bed I saw Sarsi with
something in her mouth. like all slaves I thought I'd better get it
off her in case it was something she shouldn't be eating so I called
her over and into my outstretched hand she dropped a two pound coin!

So we used that to buy some ham and had a ham salad for lunch- the
Fabulous Furballs of course skipped the salad bit

She tips her servants! Dante likes to bring me things, and the two funniest
things he ever brought me were a business card ("My card, Madame!") and a
five-dollar bill. ;)

We did say "Is that a tip?" when she gave it to me

Snowball, my rb d*g, brought me a _kitten_ from a foray into the hall
of our apartment house once. She had not, I assure you, hurt the
little kitty. She put him down at my feet and was assidiously licking
him when his owner came though the hall yelling for him. I called her
in and they were reunited. Poor Snowball didn't get to keep her
kitty.

Sarsi gave you a tip! Our cats never gift us cash. Berfert brought
QC home and asked if he could keep her. Tanada has brought us a
multitude of dead insects, rodentia, and an occasional lizard. Sonya
figured out that Marcella, Rob's first CNA was terrified of lizards so
Sonya decided to help Marcella get over her fear. Unfortunately most
of the practice material that she brought in was still alive. By the
time Marcella left us, she'd gone from screaming and standing on a
chair to shuddering and saying "It's under the bed, can someone get it
out?" Mandy wasn't at school at that time, so she usually got to take
the terrified little skink out to the back porch and set it free.

I just popped to the shops and brought a couple of beers (It's Sunday
and I like to make the weekend last as long as possible rather than
thinking "Work tomorrow") to wash down the Chinese later (I still
can't stand up for long enough to cook anything much so I figured "why
not special fried rice etc. why not indeed?") and Sarsi who normally
shows no interest whatsoever in any carrier bag which does not contain
catfood (How do they do that? Come in with six carrier bags and watch
them hone straight in on the one with their supplies- they must have X-
ray vision to be able to see the contents) suddenly seemed interested
in the bag with the beer, which is a first

"Whoops" said Dave "When she gave you that money it was for beer not
ham"

We both shuddered at the thought of our little punk kitten drunk! I
told her what I always tell Dunzi she can have a beer when it's legal
for her to do so i.e. when she's 18!

Strange through Sarsi has never shown the remotest interest in beer
before whereas we suspected Dunzi of being an apprentice lounge lizard
from a very young age, To this day she'll sometimes sniff opened beers
through thankfully she seems to have decided a preference for DaNip so
we put her early attempts to get a beer down to her searching for ways
to achieve altered states of consciousness

However that has reminded me of a classic Dunzi as a kitten story....

They had only been with us a week or so and I was sitting reading
when I saw her trot past me and I just stared in disbelief as she
walked past Dave, he looked at me "Did you see what I just saw?"

"I think so"

"S**t get her!"

She had walked past with a cigarette butt hanging out of her mouth!
For ages after that we had to make sure any butts were disposed of
into an empty can or something because she liked picking them out of
the ashtray and playing with them- an event which inevitably left ash
all over the place

Thankfully she stopped doing that eventually but she;ll still
sometimes sniff beer cans and I have told her she can have one on her
18th birthday as I have told Sarsi....Uh...they're sisters..that could
be some party! i hope they're both here for it!

That would be nice! Then again the only place she would be getting
them from would be my purse...
Oh great! Our feline criminal genius now has kleptpmania!

(Have visions of standing there with an empty purse going "There was
20 quid in here- what have you done with it?")

I have a saying around this house. Mostly for the humans, but also for the
furkids when they get too demanding.

The food around here is great, but the service stinks. For that matter so
do the tips.

I wish my cats would bring me gifts like that! Instead, I get feathers all
over the carpet. ;-)

Tawny (RB), once brought us a frog, and once a baby bunny. Neither was at
all hurt.

Many years ago, Pyewacket (RB) brought home a kitten and asked if we could
keep him. We named him Rudy (RB). A year later, Rudy brought home a
kitten, whom we named Herbie (RB) because he was such a love bug.

Awwww:(
Muggins (RB) once brought me a small dead mole from outside.
I'd commented that I'd never seen a mole before, so he brought me one.
IDK if he killed the critter or not tho.

I have pierced ears and drop earrings on a regular basis. If I am patient,
usually the next time I run the vac, and check their hiding places, I
usually get the ear ring back. Have to look through wine corks, paper clips
and whatever else they find.

I have pierced ears too and I don't usually take them out, even when I
sleep.
DH got me some beautiful CZ studs that I wear all the time. I also never
take my silver CZ Cross off, even during my shower, nor my wedding ring.
I keep the rest of my jewelry safely locked up, away from kiterns.
