Just to let you know I'm alive (darn Ben for not posting)!

I came through the surgery well - hurts like h*ll, naturally, but everything
went fine and I was up and walking as soon as they brought me to my room
from recovery. They let me go home at 10AM the next day... to promptly get
sick as a dog with the flu. I hadn't been able to keep anything in my
stomach from Saturday night until this morning. I was too weak to lift my
head from my pillow and could only lay there and do my best Camille
impersonation (the character, not the hurricane - Greta Garbo's got nothing
on me when it comes to portraying a dying woman!). Ben stayed home an extra
day to take care of me.

But... I feel a lot more human this morning - enough to hobble to my office
and post this.

Naturally, the cats are doing a fantastic job of nursing me through this
(though Ozzy and Archer seem to think this involves high-speed chases across
my bed to make sure I keep circulation in my legs and my reflexes are
normal).

Don't worry if you don't hear from me for a couple of day again - just this
bit of typing is tiring and I'm headed back to my bed. Of course, purrs for
my continued recovery would be much appreciated.

Good to hear the surgery was a success. Too bad about the flu. We
are sending good vibrations for a rapid and complete recovery from the
surgery and the flu.

Nose touches, Girlfriend.

Don't get mad at Ben, he was worried about you, rather than all those
crazies that follow your adventures in Nipland. I went through similar when
I was in hospital. Rob is lucky, he has a blabbermouth for a chronicler.
He can't get away with anything.

Qui Gun Kit thought Rob needed protecting from the bed mice at the foot of
the bed and attacked. Huey beat him (the Crackhead) up then attacked the
bed mice on his own. Rob was jet propelled out of bed this morning as a
result. Meanwhile, QC decided that my hair was getting shaggy and was
chewing the split ends off. It was time to get up. Archer and Ozzy are
making sure that no bed mice move in on you and that the greeblings know
that you are protected by Kit and Feline, the security specialists.

We'll keep thinking good thoughts at you and asking the owners to send you,
and those others who need it, all the purrs they can spare from PawRob.
