View Full Version : Transdermal Digoxin?

November 13th 08, 09:02 PM
Hi there,

I have an older cat with congestive heart failure (late stage). A
cardiac specialist said that I should continue administering
subcutaneous Lasix and that about the only drug worth trying is
Digoxin. But my kitty won't take a pill or oral liquid - and I don't
want to force it down him at this stage. I was wondering, however, if
anyone has heard of a transdermal cream of Digoxin I could try rubbing
into his ear? My vet has not heard of it, but I thought I'd ask
around.

Thanks!
Brad

Here's a compounding pharmacy that does it all. Ask them.

http://www.leesilsby.com

Contact info, including toll-free telephone and FAX numbers as
well as an e-mail address is shown on their website. They made
low-dose Diltiazem for my cat for years. Great service, nice
people. They're local for me, but they can ship orders.
