Amelia could use some purrs too by
Amelia kitty (aka Tiny Baby and Hoover Girl) could use some purrs. A few days ago she started showing signs of a UTI, so we went to the vet. He confirmed a bladder infection and gave us a prescription for antibiotics. She is giving me a major fight over her pills, but I think that's a good...

Not a lap sitter by Tomtom
I got Tawney from Animal Welfare in 2003. (I don't know her age because the records are contradictory. My veterinarian said she was probably about 3.) She won't touch people food and she won't sit on my lap.

Purr request by Gandalf
I found this on a forum I frequent; it was in the 'off topic' area. It's a bad situation, but the dog owner is trying to make it right. The poor kitty could use the power of purr: (copied directly from the post) Hey Cat lovers, I'd like to humbly request that you call upon whatever deity you can...

Please forgive any errors by Pamela Shirk
Welcome to cottonwood season. I'm very allergic to cottonwooe trees, and this year, for whatever reason they are seriously affecting my eyesight. I even enlarged my type to 24 font and it was still blurry. So if I make typing, spelling and other errors, please forgive me, or bear with me for the...

scratching the wall by yepp
Anyone else have a cat that is a little too helpful when covering his poop and scratches the walls? Mine have managed to make a huge hole in the paint/plaster from scratching the nearby wall. There is no where else to place the litter box. Is there some material I can use to prop up against the...

Purrs for my brother Scott by jmcquown
The PET scan was inconclusive so he's been referred to an oncologist. He heads over there this morning. I have no idea what other scans/tests the oncologist will be doing or recommending. Jill

Crackle Sak, another installment by jmcquown
Persia has hereforth abandoned her napping spot in the closet in favour of the crackle sack. I made the mistake of putting some catnip on it and now she won't leave it alone! The only time I can get her to stop is to chase her up to the bed to sleep with me, and sometimes that's difficult. ...

cat related employment by kaleigh
As for jobs with kitties, the only ones I can think of are veterinary related, cat sitting, and groomer. Does anyone know of any others and/or how to go about training for/ aqcuiring such a job? How about training/ certification for grooming?

He's HOME! by Helen Miles
He's a very, very spooked little boy and very jumpy, but we (as in my brother and I) eventually found HRFL under the brambles in the lane at the back of my house unharmed although shaken. As a black cat, Thank Bast I had the sense to put a reflective collar on him, as it was the reflection being...

Brother Scott: No Cancer by jmcquown
I don't know what further testing the oncologist said but he told my brother he does not have lung cancer. Of course he fussed at him for being a smoker and Scott is going to try to quit. Meanwhile, he'll go back in 6 months for another check just to make sure. Thank you all for the purrs! Jill
