Cruise is almost here by
dgk
I'm panicking because I'm going away for two weeks. I never left the
brood for that long. I'll have people in of course, but my cats aren't
really friendly so even though they know the cat sitters (friends and
relatives), they aren't going to be highly visible.
They'll be all right, but I'm...

Where is everybody? by
Joy[_3_]
This is the first day that there haven't been any posts at all when I
opened the group this morning.
I'm trying to walk every day, and we're having a heat wave, so I've been
walking in various stores. We have a mall here, but it's outdoor, so
it's no good for walking when it's hot. Today I...

Link? by
Joy[_3_]
Yesterday somebody posted a link to a video of a busker with an audience
of kittens. I wanted to send it to my kids, but I forgot to add the
link. Now I can't find it. If anybody still has that link, could you
post it or email it to me? Thanks.

Cats! by
Joy[_3_]
They're just like siblings. A couple of hours ago I heard yowling and
snarling as Koala and Pickles went at it. Just now I looked in the
living room, and they're snuggled up together under the coffee table.

It's a Buffy-versary! by
jmcquown[_2_]
Two years ago today I drove to a house a few blocks away to meet what
was described as a very timid orange tabby cat named Buffy. I also met
her rambunctious housemate (I think he was a Burmese) named Frankie.
Their human had died a week before so they were both up for adoption. I
was told...

Keep your bedroom free of mosquitoes. In return, get to sleep
with a roomful of drug-crazed moggies.
It doesn't seem like much came of that discovery, seeing as...

Marlo getting to be normal by
dgk
For a cat anyway. We took her to the vet to check on her hyperthyroid
condition and she's in the normal range so the dosage she's getting
must be about right. She's even gained af few ounces (that;s probably
a few pebbles in British weights) and is about 7.5 lbs.
Mom is a bit worried about her,...

summer's here by
Jack Campin
It's been quite warm for a few days, with no rain (the garden's
drying up). What that's meant for most of our male cats has been:
time to hit the great outdoors. Our Ishmael used to spend most
of the summer camped out in the bushes across the lane (all of
50 yards away) growling ferociously at...

I lost him yesterday to cancer. My ISP has decided they won't give us email
addresses any more after May 31 so there's an hour left to tell you.

Marlo is hyperthyroid by
dgk
She's been living with mom for the last few months and has been on a
diet (since she was overweight).. But for the last two months or so,
we knew she had dropped a lot of weight so we've pretty much been
feeding her everything she wants, chicken, steak, lamb chops, salmon,
well, essentially...

Where's Buffy? by
jmcquown[_2_]
When Buffy isn't curled up next to me, she has her regular snooze spots.
Yesterday evening, however, I couldn't find her anywhere.
I checked the bedroom closet even though I keep the door closed. I
checked the bathtub because she's been known to leap out from behind the
shower curtain and...

How did he get in there? by
Lesley Madigan
My little Ganzi girl...isn't....a girl that is! Very considerate as I am between jobs and living off my savings so as every penny helps and getting a boy done is cheaper than a girl.
Over the last couple of days hes discovered the playground that is the bathroom.
Last night I am sitting here...

Fluffy McBuffy by

Buffy has a very thick undercoat. She was sitting in my lap, getting
scritches and purring to beat the band. :) In the process her fur was
wafting up and sticking to my face. Time for the Furminator! An
excellent de-shedding tool.
It's amazing to me how much fur she sheds. I have to throw...

Back online by

I'm back online again. I replied to one of Jill's messages, but I don't
know if anyone saw it because her message was so old. My old computer
crashed, and I did not remember how to set up newsgroups after I bought
my new one. The good news is that Duffy (now 19 years old), Nikki and
Selina...
