Ping Sherry by ---MIKE---
To answer some questions: Yes, Webtv keeps long (read 300) posts at the top every time a post is added. I was frustrated by this and took it out on Kyla. I apologize to her for this. Webtv has other advantages and I much prefer it over my computer. Tiger is doing just fine now BUT he still...

Aggie is not doing well by ---MIKE---
Aggie is the shop cat at the Agway store in Littleton, NH. I stop in every week to visit her and brush her with the love glove. She is about 19 years old. Lately she has started to fade badly and the store clerks think she is "on the way out". She could sure use some purrs. ---MIKE--- In the...

I don't believe it! by ---MIKE---
Suddenly, Easter morning, both Amber and Tiger finished up their plate of Wellness in a hurry. It was like it was a new type of food but it was same Wellness turkey although from a new case. This continued for the next two meals. Needless to say I am pleased. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains...

Problem with Wellness by ---MIKE---
This morning I put out the cat's breakfast and they both took one look and walked away. I have had this problem with Wellness (Turkey) before but not in the middle of a case. I had a can of Chicken Soup for Cat Lover's Soul. I put that out and they both ate it. Now I have to get some more of...

Does Tiger have a problem??? by ---MIKE---
Since July 1st when Tiger Recovered from his infection things have changed. Previously, he presented with large, smelly poops. Now, he poops very little but does pee a lot. He used to eat quite a bit of dry food (Innova) as treats but now eats mostly canned food. He does eat plenty and acts...

Alternative to pilling by ---MIKE---
I am supposed to get clavamox pills into Tiger twice a day. Hiding in his food isn't working and I don't think he would eat "pill pockets". I wonder if I could smash the pill, mix it with butter (or vasoline) and smear the mixture on his fur. The alternative is a number of 20 mile trips to the...

Tiger is Tiger again! by ---MIKE---
He seems to be back to his normal self. This afternoon he got on my lap three times for lovins. The vet wants me to continue the Clavamox twice a day for four more days. This is not a problem since he loves the tuna juice (and the tuna). ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire...

THAT must have hurt!!! by ---MIKE---
Tiger has been much better this past week except he would frequently stand in the litter box and "try" but not produce. He has been pooping soft clumps (antibiotic) and peeing. Yesterday I saw two spots of blood on the carpet near one of the litter boxes. In the box were two solid poops about...

OT Lots of hummingbirds by ---MIKE---
After a summer of low activity, all of a sudden there are hummingbirds all over the feeders. At times they are swarming around one of the feeders. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

OT--ISN'T THIS A CAT GROUP??? by ---MIKE---
I am getting discouraged with this group. There are too many off topic posts and very few posts about our cats. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Tiger and the Zoom Groom by ---MIKE---
Every morning Tiger lets me give him a good brushing with the Zoom Groom - purring all the time. I think this has greatly reduced the usual mats that occur this time of year. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

OT Pet TV peeves by ---MIKE---
I watch too much TV - partly because Tiger likes to sleep on my lap. Here are some of my pet peeves: Ads that end with CALL NOW. Products that are "clinically proven" to work. Newscasters that say "stay with us". Brian Williams (NBC anchor) saying "thanks AS ALWAYS".

Silent purring by ---MIKE---
When Tiger purrs there is no sound. If he is on my lap and I am stroking his throat (which he loves) I can feel the throb. Also, when he purrs he breathes at double his normal rate so I can see it. Other than that there is no indication. Strange! ---MIKE--- In the White...

Tiger's voice by ---MIKE---
Normally when Tiger meows it is almost silent. I know he can make a sound when he wants to. Last week during several vet trips (for antibiotic shots) he spoke up loud and clear. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Nutro recall ?? by ---MIKE---
I usually give Amber and Tiger a little dry food at lunch time as a treat. I have been using Nutro. Today I went into the pet store to get another bag. The clerk told me that they didn't want to sell me Nutro because there was a recall and the FDA was investigating Nutro. Instead she gave me a...

Amber's step stool by ---MIKE---
I got Amber a small step stool to help her get to her window seat. She used it right away. Now I will get another to help her get up on my bed. The poor old girl is getting lame (I know the feeling). ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N -...

My weird cats by ---MIKE---
I have a large hummingbird feeder (48 ounce) hanging about one foot from a window. Inside the window is a large cat tree with a platform about on a level with the feeder. The hummers are very active - draining the feeder in one day. Wouldn't you think the cats would go crazy watching the birds? ...

A rare black whisker by ---MIKE---
I find quite a few shed whiskers (and I save them). Tiger's whiskers are usually white with a black root. Today I found a completely black whisker. That's the first one I have seen. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Somewhat OT - spiders by ---MIKE---
I am fortunate that the spiders I get in the house are all fairly small. Most of them are about the size of a 25 cent piece and black (not black widows). I usually find them in the sink of bathtub where they can't get the traction to get out. I get them into a jar for the trip outside. ...

A bath from Tiger by ---MIKE---
Just before I got up this morning, Tiger jumped up on my bed and settled next to my pillow. I rested my head on him and he started to lick my head. This continued for several minutes. He must have thought my head was dirty! ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N -...
