What a morning Good and Bad by Matthew[_3_]
Well for all us roadrunner people with out warning they cancelled our newsgroups access. Even though I knew threw the groups that they were going to do this. They never sent an email or announcement out to us at least to me nothing threw email or on my bill. So I spent the morning on the...

Demi is Recovering by CatNipped[_2_]
She did wonderfully well - she didn't even need any extractions, they said her teeth looked great and they just needed a good cleaning. Phew! I'll pick her up at 5:30 today and I'm sure she'll be so relieved to be home. Thank you all for the purrs - they worked again! Hugs,

OT, Today is Rob's Purrday!! by tanadashoes
I was so afraid last year that Rob wouldn't see 45 and today, June 22nd, he turns 46. Next year, Bast willing, will be our 25th wedding anniversary, and Rob's 47th purrday. Today I have hope that we'll be able to see it together. Tanada celebrated by peeing on my shoulder early this morning...

Chester: Back from the mothership by Susan M[_3_]
Well, your purrs really worked! A couple hours later, Chester sauntered up from the *basement*!!!!! How he did that can only be explained by the mothership as he was last sighted hoofing it down the street in the breezy summer night. Thank you!! Susan M Otis and Chester

She's Four! by Shiral
It's June 21, the summer solstice (or the day after depending on how you reckon it) and Nina's fourth Birthday! I'm laboriously putting togethr a new photo album to mark the day, but it's going very slowly. Mainly because my brain is melting from the heat which is in the high 90's, today. It sure...

FranknNikki Island by tanadashoes
Captain Pine Cone stood by the table in his cabin looking sadly at the red crushed velvet pillow and the selection of matching collars that rested beside it. Today would have been his and Miss Chloe's wedding day, had she consented to join him in that happy state. Instead he'd repeated his...

The Mighty Huntress rules! by wafflycat
Considering she's an old lady cat, minus fangs, only one eye... she's a feisty and magnificent cat. And once again defies the vet: "Now she's only got one eye, so no depth perception, she won't be able to hunt." Yeah, right.. I've been having mole problems in the garden for a while. Underground...

Pics and vids: Mir on demolished chair by Marina
I have an old chair that Frank and Nikki started working on years ago to make it into a proper cat chair - i.e. ripping it to shreds. Caliban has continued the project to this day. I usually drape a bedspread over the chair to hide the destruction, but today I decided to wash the bedspread....

Their first box by Bridget[_4_]
The kittens don't really get the complete box idea, but they know a warm one when they are in it. This was the day I gave them a lime dip, so warm was good. Right after that are some meezer pictures showing how well he goes with a brightly covered comfortor and how well he is settling...

Happy Birthday Ka'shay by Matthew[_3_]
We got her 2 years ago today. Saving her moments from that dreaded needle And for her birthday gift tonight I let her sit in the big window by herself and chase lizards all day. She is still at. I know the others will make me pay for her indulgence

OT - Summer Reading? by CatNipped[_2_]
Anybody here planning on spending the hot days of summer inside in the A/C reading instead of outside sweating? I know we've covered this subject before, but we have some new people here and I'd like their input as well, so.... What are you planning to read? What have you already read that...

Purrs for Demi Request by CatNipped[_2_]
I dropped Demi off at the vet this morning for a teeth cleaning and she'll probably have to have at least on extraction (I think that's why she's been losing weight lately). She is SO scared of her own shadow that a trip to the vet is horrific for her. She could use some calming purrs and some...

Herrings milt by Christina Websell
Well, I saw a two pots of it in the supermarket the other day and I bought it for KFC, I thought it would be some sort of roe, soft and fishy taste to tempt her appetite. I took advice from the internet, and poached it. She did eat the first lot, but threw it up several hours later. She must...

OT - If there is an afterlife... by CatNipped[_2_]
.... who would you most like to meet and talk to there (besides the supreme being)? My choices.... Leonardo DaVinci, Isaac Asimov (as mentioned in the "summer reading" thread), Carl Sagan (just to what he has to say about being wrong about an afterlife), Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, Alan...

Any suggestions? cone by Joy
Has anybody had to deal with a cone on a cat? I'm about to lose my mind. Nanki-Poo has a nasty sore on the back of his neck, as well as some places on the front where he scratched the area where he lost his hair because of the radiation treatments. Aside from the fact that the doctor is...

A judge in New York has taken 10 million dollars which was inherited by hotel mistress Leona Helmsley's pet dog and distributed the money to 2 of her grandchildren who were left out of her will. The dog inherited a total of 12 million from Helmsley who wanted the money to go to charity if/when...

why I don't like shopping in Somerfield by Jack Campin - bogus address
Silver tabbies are very popular with advertising photographers. There's one on the Whiskas can. But the Somerfield supermarket chain in the UK also uses one on their products (tinned food, cat litter) and she's all but impossible to tell apart from my Muriel. Who I buried in the garden a few...

Betty and Katie Update by [email protected]
Both girls are home :0). Betty was spayed as she had finished lactating, Katie wasn't spayed because she still has milk. Betty didn't have the operation on her tail as the vet didn't think it was medically neccessary. :) Both girls were delighted to see their kittens and both girls immediately...
