Sneezing Cat and Watery Eyes by PatriciaLeppla
My cat has been sneezing a lot the past few days and I have also noticed that it looks like he has been crying from one eye only, but I do not see any inflimation in the eye or any discharge (except the clear tears). He's seems a little bit more tired and has been sleeping in different positions...

Marlo's drooling by dgk
As I was leaving for work I noticed that there were several wet spots on the bed. I checked the butts of my three cats but all were fine and there was no evidence of problems in the litterbox. Then I noticed that Marlo was drooling a bit. I've had that before with a cat and it was likely some bug...

Feline Vocabulary by [email protected]
Three cats, one of which appears to have a vocabulary of at least three words: o Food o Water o Treats I can tell by his call which of the three he wants. Is there any accepted word on cat verbal communication? It seems odd to me that one of the three would "speak" while the others do not.

This is our tuxedo girl, age 13, hyperthyroid treated with Tapazole, and arhythmia with propanolol. She was obese and age 5 when we got her, I got her down to a good weight over a year's time a few years ago. I picked her up this afternoon and felt it, looked closely (that went over big, lol!)...

Typical "Shelter" Kitty? by Peg Caldwell-Ott
Following the death of our beloved Amaretto from diabetes (he had the disease for 11 years, and tolerated all of our ministrations and those of the vet exceptionally well) and kidney failure, we adopted a new kitty, who we named Pemberton. "Pemberton" was the middle name of my maternal...

Wandering Around and Meowing by Jen
Three weeks ago we adopted a small, spayed, 3 year-old female cat from PAWS. When we brought her home she was on the end of recovering from a cold and was also unsure about her new surroundings and therefore slept most of the first few days. We were delighted that at night she slept in her cat...

Anyone read Temple Grandin's stuff (autistic cattle pen designer)? by Brian Link
I'm making my way through her book "Translating Animals" and she has a few interesting things to say about cat behavior. Just curious whether any of you cat mavens have read her stuff, and what your reactions are? Thanks BLink --------------------------

Cat/Pet Insurance by stan beck
All, I've embarked on writing an article on Pet Insurance (it's now turning into an article series) -- and wow, it's a huge topic. And it's a very emotional topic -- placing a numeric value on your pet -- tough stuff. Anyway, I just finished the first part of the article, which is really more...

Cory Went to Join His Mom by MacCandace
We took my cat Cory in to be euthanized today. It was, as most of you understand, a very hard decision to make regarding the timing. But we think it was time. We took him outside before his appointment and, it was so sad, he just laid on his side with his head down in the grass as though he was...

Third Eyelid by Sherry
I have a question for you all. The third eyelid. I had a stray jump up on the window two weeks ago. She was malnourished and wormy, but negative for FeLV/FIV, had no fever and vet says the bloodwork didn''t indicate any illness. Her eyes were otherwise clear. I almost argued with him, because...
