Vomiting: only nocturnally by
Jay Goldstein
My 12 year old male tabby is exhibiting behaviour that has my vet stumped.
For the last few weeks he vomits once a day. The vomiting always occurs
somewhere between midnight and 6 a.m. The vomit consists of a small amount
of liquid that looks like the residue of the dry cat food he is fed. On...

Sub-Qs for Cory by
MacCandace
Well, after almost 2 years of being diagnosed with CRF and hyper-t, my
soon-to-be 18 year old Cory has to get sub-q fluids administered by me. I know
you've all said it's no big deal after the first couple of times so I hope you
are right. Tomorrow will be my first attempt.
Cory has been acting...

My Lovely Tom Cat by
Babypink
Hi
I have had my lovely tom cat from a kitten and he is now 3 years old. I
have never owned a tom cat before and he is just so adoreable, but there is
a behaviour that he does religiously every single morning and wondered why
he does it.
He sleeps in the house but late at night he always...

Finding Missing Cats? by
Rhino[_3_]
I'm wondering if anyone out there has figured out any good ways to track
down missing cats?
Here's my situation. My mother adopted two cats a few weeks ago. We think
they are brothers although we don't know for sure. Their names are Fred and
Barney. They are a year and a half old, male,...

I trully do not know if anything can be done at this point. Figured

Carpet Scratching by
Ricardo
Hi,
I'm lucky in the respect that my cat doesn't scratch the carpet. At the
moment I've got a "twist pile" carpet but now fancy a "loop pile". I've
heard that loop pile isn't a good idea if you've got a cat, but as he
doesn't scratch at the moment will start if I get a loop pile as it would
give...

Too cruel? by
223rem
I'd like to teach my two rather wimpy kittens to hunt, or at least
to give them something entertaining and instructive to do.
I want them to be more like my girlfriends' cats, that cool cat
who killed bunnies and birds.
I am considering the idea of buying several small rodents from
the pet store...

Sensitive spot above base of tail? by
Robotech_Master
I was just wondering...is there something special about the area just
above the base of the tail? I remember that one of my grandmother's
cats had a skin condition in that area, and my own cat seems rather
sensitive in that area...if I touch or rub it, she starts licking (or
nibbling) on my...

Feline humor? by
FragSinatra
Why is it that cats think playing hide and go seek is fun or funny?
Everyone is looking for you, calling your name, thinking you're hurt
and you don't bother to reply or come out. Then you just suddenly show
up like nothing happened. Very funny.
Or how about waiting to go up the stairs until a...

Vent/Rant - Persians by
KellyH
Poor Persians. Bred for a feature which makes it hard for them to breathe
and leaves them susceptible to upper respiratory infections. Purchased for
their beauty and status as a "rich person's cat", but then neglected because
they require so much work.
We get yet another Persian in horrible...

Cat in heat - behavior question by
KellyH
Hi there,
This question is about the same cat as before, in the "Cat in heat question"
thread. This cat has kittens that are now 9 weeks old, they are at my house
awaiting their spay appts. Beetle is at the shelter also waiting for her
spay appt, and is apparently in heat. Beetle has been...

Which litter an tray is best by
Rach
Hi every1,
I was just wondering if anyone had any views on which type of litter (clay,
wood, catsan, silica) is best to use.
AND which kind of litter tray? Has anyone tried the 'self-cleaning ones'?
I have one kitten (he is 10 weeks old).
Any thoughts will be a great help

On 2005-01-14, Barb penned:
Bought a little alarm through a catalog- I've seen these in a couple of
catalogs- and it works! My two older cats never go on the glass top coffee
table or the glass top table by the mirrored wall. They are allowed
everyplace else. But the baby (2 years old)...

What breed of cat is this one? by
[email protected]
This cat behaved so unlike any other cat I ever had. For a start, it
rarely ever meowed, instead, it cooed like a pigeon. It also had those
thick horizontal long hairs in the ears, perhaps you can see them in
the first pic. It was also extremely smart. It had a very strange
personality, as if it...
