A sad anniversary by ---MIKE---
Four years ago today, I let my tuxedo cat "IKE" out about 6 AM. I never saw him again. I now keep Tiger and Amber inside. -MIKE

Happy birthday Tiger by ---MIKE---
Today is Tiger's sixth birthday. I gave him a shot of catnip this morning for his present. Here he is on top of the refrigerator. http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/View?u=3D1777604&a=3D13746150&p=3D71650547= &Sequence=3D0&res=3Dhigh ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44=B0...

Wellness is back by ---MIKE---
Last week I was able to buy two cases of Wellness 5.5 oz chicken flavor. I found out that my cats do like Iams chicken but I would rather they eat the Wellness. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44=B0 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Flying Conan...another possibility by ---MIKE---
If you are talking about a small private airplane, I would think the noise would be very frightening to a cat. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44=B0 15' N - Elevation 1580')

It looks like Mary is gone. Now if we can get rid of bigbadbarry this group will be in good shape - talking about cats. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44=B0 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Tiger up high by ---MIKE---
Sometimes Tiger likes to get up on the log going across my log home. http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/View?u=3D1777604&a=3D13746150&p=3D72399705= &Sequence=3D0&res=3Dhigh ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44=B0 15' N - Elevation 1580')

(OT) Christmas at the dump by ---MIKE---
My town dump has a recycling trailer where people leave things they no longer want. Today I picked up TWO identical portable CD players. I put on two new AA batteries, plugged in my own earphones and they both worked - perfectly! Last summer I picked up a BRAND NEW digital watch - still in the...

Cat that wets the bed by ---MIKE---
This cat belongs to a friend of a friend. A five year old altered male that pees on the bed. He has been to the vet and was given a clear bill of health. This has been going on for quite a while. My recommendation would be a Feliway diffuser in the bed room. Are there any...

Cat "beds" by ---MIKE---
Both of my cats have decided that they prefer to sleep on newspapers. I spread the papers out on the couch and love seat and that's what they like - the messier the better! It's a good thing I am not a neat freak. -MIKE

Poor Amber by ---MIKE---
I discovered a lump on Amber's tail (near the base) last week -so- off to the vet again. Last night she had a cyst removed. She is home now but not too happy. The base of her tail is shaved on one side and she appears to be a bit uncomfortable when she sits down. -MIKE

Tiger is back home by ---MIKE---
His ordeal is over. He looks rather strange with almost no hair on his back. He is still mad - spitting at me and all and I am $231 poorer. ---MIKE---

Tiger was "declawed" by ---MIKE---
Well not actually declawed but while at the vet yesterday, they trimmed his claws very close. He is having trouble grabbing onto window sills etc. How long will it take them to grow back? I never trim his claws so he is not used to the dull tips. ---MIKE---

"Best by" dates by ---MIKE---
I have several cans of cat food (Innova, Nutro, and Whiskas) that have been in the cupboard for quite a while (I now feed Wellness). These are all well past the "best by" dates. Should I throw them away or give them to a shelter? ---MIKE---

Purevax rabies vaccine by ---MIKE---
Does anyone know why the Purevax rabies vaccine is only good for one year while the others are good for up to three years? Is it likely that the Purevax will someday become a three year vaccine? I prefer the safety of the Purevax but would prefer not to have to vaccinate every year. ---MIKE---

Resetting the clocks by ---MIKE---
Saturday evening I reset almost all of my clocks before going to bed. The only one I couldn't reset was Amber. In the morning, she is still on daylight savings time. Instead of waking me up at 5 AM, now it's 4 AM. I hope she changes soon! ---MIKE---

Tiger is very considerate! by ---MIKE---
Many cats, when they want to get on your lap will jump or leap on it. Tiger knows he is big and heavy (25 pounds at his last vet visit). When he wants to get on my lap (which is often) he slowly gets on the arm of the sofa and very carefully eases himself into position. I am very thankful for...
