Leading Jill Outside the Box by Julie Cook
Jill, I keep thinking we need to find you a way to make money that doesn't involve interviewing with someone who will tell you no. That means thinking outside the box. The first idea I had was as a pet sitter. My pet sitter gets $25.00 when she comes once a day and $40 for twice a day visits....

The Things Some People Say (OT) by jmcquown
Ever notice some of the things a perfect stranger will start talking to you about when you're in a store or other public place? A few years ago I was in a convenience store on Christmas Eve afternoon; 1 clerk, a line of people. The man in front of me started talking about how he hadn't been to...

Cat Rejecting Microchip?? by John Ross Mc Master
An 11 year old cat who was microchipped 10+ years ago seems to be rejecting the chip. Has anyone ever heard of this before? The (edited) email I recieved is below. I noticed a lump by Archie's "shoulder blade"... days later he lost his hair there, the size of a palm! So I took him in today.

Guest Cat & Kitten by LOL
We met Guest Cat's kitten tonight! We've seen her coming and going from a storage building in the neighborhood, and tonight we could see her out in front of the building with a kitten. I walked down there and sat with her a bit, but the kitten had fled back inside when it saw me coming. Guest...

COMPLETELY OT by Kreisleriana
But it sure beats some of our other recent OT forays (IMO) I was home this morning, and got up very early to do an exercise tape. After I finished, I switched the TV on, and idly flipped channels until I was suddenly confronted with THIS: http://tinyurl.com/6h5nc OH MY GOD. YIKES. Plus a few...

Home at last by Christina Websell
At last I am home after breaking my ankle in a major way on October 16, so severely it had to be plated and pinned. I was in hospital for 6 days before they could operate because my ankle was so swollen, I learned from my shoulder break to call for help immediately and an ambulance came with...

OT mostly: Need ideas, please by Tanada
One of my jobs before every trip, is to come up with a list for our travel scavenger hunt. Whoever finds the items gets a point, and who ever has the most points at the end of the trip wins a goofy little prize. It's fun and keeps us all alert and looking out the windows. Needless to say, I have...

LOTR3 by Yowie
We'd tried to get tickets for 3 days (it opened here on the 26th), but the earliest session we could get tickets to was this morning's. We generally don't do mornings well, especailly *Sunday* mornings, which gives an indication of our anticipation and enthusiasm for this movie. We managed to get...

Feline Specialist? (long again - sorry) by LOL
Sunday afternoon, DH and I were to take Mike in for sub-q fluids from the vet tech when she was there to feed the boarders; however, when we arrived TED himself was there instead, and we were able to talk uninterrupted for a bit while the IV bag emptied itself into Mikey. I am not entirely sure...

Purrs for Bonnie please? by Cheryl
She got her shots yesterday, and yesterday was fine. Today, though, she is very lethargic and not eating. She's eaten a few pieces of dry food (maybe a couple of mouthfuls all day) but she's usually very piggy. I know this happens, and it happened to Shadow the last time he got shots which is...

kitty vs puss by Brenda
I usually have a cat or two join me as soon as I climb into bed at night. If not, I call to them. When I call "here kitty kitty!" I may or may not get a response. However, when I call "puss puss puss!" all three cats not only come running, they rush right up to me and start sniffing my...

2 ferals by StocksRusĀ®
My 2 kids are driving me nuts when 2 strays come to my downstairs patio and start howling at 2 am. My kids only go outside supervised and both Bonnie and Squeak are "fixed" so I'm pretty sure it's not that the strays are wanting....well you know. Anyway, Squeak, being the brut he is,could probably...

"Mark Edwards" wrote in message ... A couple of years ago, a pretty little orange tabby started showing up on my doorstep. Because his stripes trailed off into little brownish spots, I started calling him Spot. He...

What is FVRCP/C? by jmcquown
I got notice from the vet it's time for Persia to get her rabies booster (required by law here even though she's an indoor cat), intestinal worm test and something called FVRCP/C. I have no idea what FVRCP/C is but apparently she's gotten it in the past. I called and was told that is the "normal...

O.T. spinal surgery & RPCA we will meet by Annie Wxill
DH will have his spinal surgery Thursday, April 29, in Pittsburgh. We will be gone almost a week, and Cinder and Rosie will receive twice-daily visits from the cat sitter. I hope they will not be too upset that we will be gone so long. If you get any strange posts from this computer, you'll know...

A Lion or Just Lyin'? by Ginger-lyn Summer
For about a week now, we've had stories in my area (Columbus, Ohio), of numerous sightings of a lion wandering around the edges of the city! Although officers and the Humane Society have been called out many times, no one has yet to find the lion. No one knows whether s/he is real, or if we're...

Mike RB by LOL
I wasn't ready to have to write this. Mike's too-low blood pressure kept dropping; this afternoon he went into shock and went to the RB at our TED's office. I can't even begin to think how much I'm going to miss him. Mike deserves more than this, but I just can't write more. Thank you all for...

shroder just passed away by Dick C
I haven't posted here in a long time, although I do check in an read sometimes. Last night, when I went to bed, Shroder was fine. This morning he was in the closet, where he never goes. He came out and laid around all day. We took him to the vet at 2:00 pm, and then the vet called shortly after...

Purrs for Lacey by Julie Cook
I know I haven't been responding to post much lately but we have been checking the list for requests for purrs and sending them out. Now I'm here requesting purrs for Lacey. Today we noticed she isn't opening her left eye. She's rubbing it a lot as well. She'll go to TED tomorrow but in the...
