Cat dilemma.. by Todd
Ok, need some opinions here! About a year ago, my parents moved to another state, and they took my cat with them. Unfortuately, my parents have separated, and they had to give the cat to my aunt with the idea that she's looked after them until they sorted things out or I could get the cat...

Cat peeing in sink by .oO rach Oo.
I posted earlier about Stella, my 8 month old kitty scratching in the sink and squatting. She only does this when I go to the bathroom, not my fiancé. Well, last night, after all the trying (she looks like she's trying to pee) she finally did. Just a little, but pee nonetheless. Happened again...

Thoughts on Feliway? by Sethran
I'm having a problem with two cats and I'm considering using Feliway to try and help them get along. I like to hear about any experiences with it, both good and bad. This is the situation right now...Heather is a five year old DLH with anxiety issues and misdirected aggression. Her partner died...

Icarus Attacks by Cat Protector
I was wondering if any of you had an idea how to get Icarus to stop attacking my other cats. He seems to always chase after Isis and there has been some agressive wrestling and biting. As a result she cries, growls and hisses, then she runs away from him. He then still chases after her. I figured...

Cat licking patio by The Mermaid
My cat (14) has started licking the patio - anyone know why he does this? Salt content? It seems very strange. Also, he just licks at his food and doesn't seem as interested as he used to be - have tried several types of food now. Do they do patio flavoured food???!!! ;o)

Dental cleaning - how often? by ---MIKE---
Amber had her first dental cleaning last October at age 9 (after losing one of her fangs). I just got a "reminder" from the vet that she is due again next month. Are yearly dentals really necessary? Amber HATES to travel and the procedure is expensive. I would prefer to wait if it isn't really...

Cat's Behaviour by JamesJ
Hi all. I am just a bit curious about something my cat does and have seen my previous cats do. When startled they would turn sideways, hunch their backs and hop backwards. I'm wondering if it has something to do with instinctive defense. Thanks, James

The sad tale of Fluffy Skye by Luramao
Sometimes you think things are bad, it seems like there's always somebody whose circumstances are worse. I have this poor little cat that I think has had such a sad life.... And now, instead of finally having some good times in her life, she's gonna die. I added a new cat to our family last...

Wasting Kitten? by Judy
Does anyone know what this is? Is it a syndrome, disease... a friend of mine is raising kitties, and the littlest one in the current litter has this. He's been smaller from the beginning (he's now 3 mos. old), not as well developed (my friend says he didn't bake long enough) :-) and he's tended to...

Kittens growing up by Liz
Some of you might already know that I adopted a 5-week-pregnant feral around 4 years ago. She was skin and bone, flea infested, and had many bald spots (ringworm). When she delivered, I took pictures of the kittens every two days until they were two months old. Here are some of the pictures. Of...

Feline Leukemia - what does the end look like? by Dave
I fear our kitty boy Spencer is on the downhill slide: The anemia is making him cold so all he wants to do is sleep on top of the monitor. He doesn't want to eat and is loosing weight. He's been getting kind of spastic and clumsy – suddenly launching himself up on top of things. He's started to...

"how do I get away?" by kelly andgary
I've had a cat for some four years now. Recently I introduced into our home a 6 month old kitten. As a given....he is full of energy and likes to play. The older feline is game a lot of the time but there are times she is clearly annoyed and becomes angry. Wanting no part of his youthful...
