thinking of adding another cat...... by
Gail
I currently have three cats. Two are strictly indoor cats (neutered males
ages 2 and 4) and one is outdoors only. The one outdoors goes in and out of
a heated garage. I saw a kitten on petfinder that I keep thinking about
(female, 8 weeks old). Any thoughts about how difficult this would be to...

Post-op Cat by
Patc
My cat has had 2 serious back leg injuries one after the other & was
confined to a play pen for a number of weeks.
He has since been gradually allowed a bit more freedom as the weeks
pass.
I now let him go into the garden whilst I am there to watch him.
Once he used to urinate/defecate in certain...

Any tips for bathing a kitty without being mauled? by
-Lost
Gabby, our new kitty, is NOT fond of water. I mean, she hates it so
much I am surprised we do not have to feed her through an IV.
Anyway, to get her bathed without being mauled I wrap her and a bottle
of shampoo together with duct tape, throw her in the bathtub, and
agitate it with a broom so...

Please tell me about a Red mackerel tabby by
Lisa C
I was driving from up North to down South recently with my adopted
stray cat.. A lady came up to the car and was admiring him. She said
he looks like a red mackerel tabby.
Can someone please tell me more about them? I assume it is a color
and not a breed. I am relatively new to cat...

The great outdoors can be a living hell? by
John Doe
I took in a feral female many months ago. I'm sure she was born and
stayed in the not-so-great outdoors. She is terrified of people.
Currently she is inside and has her own territory, accommodations, a
good view, and currently gets premium wet food only. Recently I got
motivated and bought four...

Other than dindin what words do your pets know? by
James
My cat will run to the door when I say out and she wants out. I'm
sure she knows her name and come but she usually acts like she don't
understand. Other times she would come running from a great
distance. In the house she never comes when called.
I had a rabbit who would stand up when I said...

help with cat by
guitarnewf
we are having a lot of trouble with our cat. He is 8 years old, and
he is 15 pounds, a big cat. Not fat, but big. Now, he has petting
aggression but that is ok, we can deal with that. The problem is, at
random times, he lunges at you and clings on and bites. It's to the
legs mostly. You can...

protrusion of third eyelid by
Johnna via CatKB.com
Hi All,
I'm looking for some input on a problem I'm having with my cat. Yesterday I
noticed my cat's eyes looked a little funny - the third eyelid on both eyes
was visible. Since it was the weekend I couldn't see my regular vet so I took
him to the emergency clinic and the vet there said that he...

Chelsea (the second of the "sponsored kitties") has been adopted by
MaryL
Good news! I wrote some time ago about the two kitties I was "sponsoring"
by paying for vetting, innoculations and spay/neuter (a male and a female).
The little male was adopted almost immediately -- although the ideal would
have been for them to be adopted as a pair -- and the little female...
