front leg amputation - the recovery by
anno
One of my cats (possum.. 9yo male) had his right front leg amputated
this past tuesday. He had a bone tumor, biopsy results today indicate
a spindle sell sarcoma, which seldom metastasizes (at least in cats),
so that's good news.
He's doing pretty well, too. He's eating.. not a lot, but...

Is my cat obessive-compulsive? by
BudGan25
My Bombay mix, Buddha (yes, he's the one with the cat acne) seems to
paw/scratch at the litter in his box obsessively. It almost seems
like he's trying to clean his paws off! This happens a few times a
week, usually at night, and it goes on for at least 2-5 minutes at a
time. I was wondering if...

12%. Currently, she is taking 1/2 mil of Tapazole twice per day. I am
familiar with the three different treatments and have opted for the

Cat will only cuddle in one spot? by
Al Puzzuoli
Hi,
I have a kitty who is very affectionate and likes to cuddle. Problem is
he will only do so under very specific circumstances. If I sit in bed
with my legs under the covers, he will crawl up into my lap and stay
there for hours; However, this appears to be the only time he's ever
in a...

Half Siamese, Half Himalayan=? by
Slimpickins
Hi everyone,
I just found out that my dearly departed, 19 1/2 year old 'baby child'
named Blue, was actually a half Siamese and half Himalayan. Blue's been
'gone' exactly one month ago, today-Dec.20th-04.
So what exactly did this bloodline make him/Blue? A mix breed? Or, is there
an actual name...

Monique Y. Mudama
On 2005-01-14, Barb penned:
Bought a little alarm through a catalog- I've seen these in a couple of
catalogs- and it works! My two older cats never go on the glass top coffee
table or the glass top table by the mirrored wall. They are allowed
everyplace else. But the baby (2 years old)...

My brother-in-law gave us the "advice" that we need to get rid of the cats
because of the coming babies. Yeah, right.

I paid $300 for the vet to treat my cat's abscess this time (including
sedation, cutting the wound open to clean it out, antibiotics injection,
and oral antibiotics to give her at home). We tried to keep her inside,
but she managed to get out and get bitten by a neaighborhood tomcat.

Update on our mid-summer adoption.. bad (long) by
Brian Link
To recap if you haven't read my earlier posts...
A stray had been frequenting our house for over a month. He was
flea-bitten, mite-infested and hungry, but obviously socialized to
humans because he was so friendly.
We were at the time owned by two cats; Tiger, 10 yr old, farm cat
mutt/maine coon...

Hello,
We took our 7 week old kitten to the VET yesterday to get registered and
have its first checkup (it was previously checked when it lived with its
mother).
Our VET used a Flea comb on the kitten and found fleas, she shook the
contents of the comb onto the table, and a flea hopped backed onto...
