Where is Joyce? by
Bastette
Christina Websell wrote:
Did something happen to her while I was in hospital or what?
Why isn't she posting?
Surely she hasn 't gone over to the social media site entirely?
I always enjoyed Joyce's posts and I really miss her on here. I could
always rely on her for an interesting...

Cat strangeness by
Joy
I'll never figure out cats. When Waffles was alive, I could always tell
who had used the litter box, because Pickles would never bury her poop.
Now that she's an only cat, she does bury it. Go figure.

Are you and Persia alright? I have been thinking of you and hope you did

Is this newsgroup shutting down? by
Robert Catt
In the past few days I've only seen one post here at
rec.pets.cats.anecdotes. I was beginning to think it's closing down,
possibly because of so many non-relevant posts in recent months.

For Joy and other people who cats with cancer by
Jack G.
You need to go to www.cat-world.com/au and click on the article on catnip.
Cats that have had cancer who had catnip added to their diet had a higher rate of remission. I have have been raising cats for over 50 years and have seen some good results using catnip. I even use it when taking my cat to...

Lost Cat Found by
Cheryl[_5_]
It is unfortunately very common here to see signs posted up asking for
any information about a missing pet - sometimes a dog, mostly a cat. And
you never hear anything more about the search. Today, I noticed one of
these signs with two stickers on it - one said 'Not found yet date'
and the...

Pit2nya cuddles by
Sylvia M[_3_]
Pit2nya is 11 years old. She can sometimes be found on the bed near our
feet in the morning. For the last few months, she occasionally has
jumped up to me as I am laying down, and allow for a short
cuddle-snuggle before jumping down. Most recently I find her where I
belong on the bed as I...

Summer Doldrums by
dgk
My favorite time of the year. It all starts going downhill in a few
days, when the Summer Solistice passes and the days start getting
shorter. I like it when we have a gazillion hours of daylight.
So do the cats I think. We're a summer bunch. Hot weather is what I
like, and I don't even mind being...

Discouraged by
Joy
I'm getting discouraged. Waffles seems to be okay, considering the fact
that he has cancer, doesn't drink enough and is getting chemo. However,
he feels food enough to run away from me and struggle when I give him
his meds.
He gets Prednisone twice a day. He's also supposed to get an antacid...

Today I saw an experienced physiotherapist (OT) by
Christina Websell
Unlike last week. We discussed the injury I got and I learned a lot about
what muscles cannot work in my hand due to the nerve damage in my neck.
As I suspected, there is nothing that physiotherapy can do unless the nerves
grow back, which can take two years (or might never do)
So next week I'm...

Waffles RB by
Joy
I just got home from sending Waffles to the Bridge.
Waffles isn’t miserable any more, but I am. I know it was the right
thing to do, though, and the vet agreed.

Tiger kisses my head by

Tiger got on my bed this morning and licked my head for almost five minutes. I think he loves me. I know Sweetie Pie loves me but she has never licked me. My hummingbirds are slowly increasing in numbers.

Do your cats have a favourite flavour? by
Christina Websell
in the cat food brand you normally feed them? I've heard a lot of people
say their cats have a preference. I know Tigger does, so much so that
Claire can only buy a certain coloured box of a well known manufacturer's
pouches as he won't eat the other flavours in the other boxes that are...

Odor problem - Help! by
Joy
Waffles is very ill. He has cancer and is eating very little. On the
way home from the vet, he peed in his cat carrier, which is fabric.
Some of it went on the car seat. I've tried water and Nature's Miracle,
and can't get rid of the stench. Does anybody have any other solutions
to get rid...

Spicey's cuddle time by
Takayuki
I noticed Spicey sitting at my feet, staring at me very expectantly,
looking all furry & cute.
I didn't have any snacks that should interest her, just some raising and
pumpkin seeds, and she'd just eaten, so I was puzzled about what she wanted
from me. On a lark, I picked her up (she got a dangly...
