Stray vs. catnapping? Does it matter? by
Bill Stock
I posted the message below a few days back, but it seems to have got lost in
the ether.
OK, so there was only one and it was about six months old. But it was a
Calico bitty (Junior Kitty). Looks like the neighbours are on their third
cat in two...

What he looks like by
Kreisleriana
As I mentioned before, my camera is on the fritz. In the next couple
of days, I hope to pick up a disposable, just to get a few pics of him
up and on the web.
He's a little tuxedo fellow, with a lot of black. He has white paws
and a bib, a black face with a white chin and whiskers. But...

Buster's new treat by
Mark Edwards
This morning, I was making waffles for breakfast. As I usually do, I
pour a little syrup on the plate, before putting a waffle on it.
Buster was on the upper part of the counter, watching me. Suddenly,
he jumps to the lower (working) counter, and starts sniffing Senyah'
plate.
I pick him up, tell...

Harvey got a new toy. by
KittyLady
I bought him a new toy on Friday. It is called a Birdie on a tether,
made by Hertz, and is this little weighted ball, with a feather
attached to a little stick, stuck in the middle. It is impossible to
knock over and when Harvey swats at the feather, the little stick spins
around out of his...

The hunter becomes the hunted by
Victor Martinez
I was vacuuming yesterday afternoon when I saw what looked like blades
of grass in the carpet. I was about to suck them up when I realized they
couldn't be grass blades, since there is no grass near the cats'
enclosure. I took a closer look and I saw it was a very dead and very
dry praying mantis....

Otis is a thumper (partly GW) by
Susan M
About eight years ago, Otis had some mysterious accident that required three
surgeries to fix his foot. For the life of him, TED couldn't figure out
what happened to cause the injury. Otis ended up having three general
anesthetics in three days for skin grafts and I had to take time off work...

Roof jumping cat by
Susan M
Last night, Otis was sitting on the roof underneath our second storey
bedroom window whining for over an hour. I went downstairs and called to
him from the yard but he just stood there yowling at me from the roof. I
don't know why since he had never had a problem hopping down before.
Eventually,...

New Kitten Milestone by
Kreisleriana
Not a meeting, but something pretty important. The little guy
sucessfully made his way to his litterbox, dug a neat little hole, did
a neat little pee, and covered it all up. Oh what a fuss was made!!!
;)
My mom is calling him "Hot Stuff." ;) It suits him-- I guess that'll
be his placeholder...

Chester and his teeth by
Susan M
Hi all:
I finally bit the bullet and made the appointment for Chester's pre-dental
blood tests this coming Friday. The cat looks like he smokes two packs a
day since he's never chewed a thing in his life. He swallows his huge dry
kibble whole and barely works up the chunky wet food before he...

You recently posted about having cluster headaches, but I deleted all posts
from the group a few days ago for obvious reasons. I do occasionally have
migraine myself - actually I had one on Thursday - but I know cluster
headaches are/can be worse.
By coincidence I dropped into a group this...

Tomorrow's the day... by
Marina
.... we get our outside enclosure for the cats. They were supposed to
come and install it today, but we're having a terrible storm in Southern
Finland at the moment, and we just agreed that it might be a bit
difficult to build the enclosure in 22 m/s (49.2 mph) winds and rain.
My mother and sister...

Sandra
Hello to everyone.
Posted some pics for cat lovers everywhere! Difficult to believe that
Phoenix is over a year old now. Due to unexpected turn of events we missed
his Purrday, but I am sure he hasn't held it against us!

10 foot radius by
Bridget
I don't know what it is, but none of my three cats is ever outside of a
ten foot radius from me. Do they really think they need to supervise my
every move that closely? What do they think I do when I leave the
apartment and they aren't there to supervise? Do they think I am unable
to function? ...
