[OT] Holiday Recipes by
Yowie
Haven't had a recipe thread here for *ages* (which in one way is a good
thing, I guess), but I like our recipe threads and felt like starting one,
troll or no.
Its getting close to the Holiday season, thought we might share a few of our
favourite recipes that we traditionally use to celebrate...

Dennis as a blonde? by
badwilson
I rolled over sleepily in bed this morning and opened my eyes. What the
heck?!? Dennis' hair had turned strawberry blonde overnight! I was not
going to be happy about this. I blinked and rubbed my eyes. Suddenly the
hair got up and came over towards me, mrrrping. It purred in my ear...

Dusty's day at TED by
TJ and The Dust
He has more blood drawn for his extensive thyroid test and had his blood
pressure taken. They had to shave off some fur on his back leg and he could
care less. His BP is a bit high. TED still thinks he has Hyperthyroid issues
and I guess this test will tell the tale. The galloping heartbeat and...

Accident update #2 -another long one by
GracecatOnl
He's out of surgery, the bleeding has stopped but he remains in critical
condition at Tulane.
So far, they have discovered that our local hospital did not clean his wounds,
at all. I could say we're assuming that they didn't believe he'd live so they
didn't try very hard. But I'm not familiar with...

cati
Mistoffelees is still not too great but he is eating today.
he has had two days of his antibiotics and ace inhibitors.
Billy is mixing them with bezo pet as mistoffelees adores bezo pet and as it
is just grease and oil it wont do him any harm (did check with vet just to
make sure!).
He is still...

Thank you all for your Lacey purrs by
Julie Cook
Thank you all for your purrs for Lacey! She appears to have a cold and
will be on amoxicilin for the next week or two and eye drops to help her
eye. The vet checked for any tears or lacerations of her cornea and
didn't find anything. She warned me that Lacey might have green liquid
coming from her...

Prayers for all and mini-update by

Doggy drool and prayers for everyone that's suffering, Patty Dot and Senyah.
All the kitties (Nikki, Lacey, Dusty and even a puppy dog or two that may need
it.

more than likely. Tulane has said he won't be home for...

Need help by
ann
Abby has a scratch below the corner of her eye, going down the edge of
her nose. Her eye looks okay. The scratch is bleeding a bit as I see
dried blood on her white fur. The question is, is there anything I can
put on the scratch to help it heal or should I just leave it alone.
Thanks in advance...

O & C - party tricks by
Susan M
Hi the
Had a friend of mine over for wine, cheese, black olive tapinade, and slow
roasted tomatoes - and, unabashedly, used the cats to do party tricks.
My friend is both a cat slave and a dog owner. She was amazed when the boys
answered to their name and their name only. She was also...

Emily and Max by
Brenda
As Mr Peabody reported earlier, he and Max are already best buds. Emily's
been pretty good about the newcomer, reserving her hisses for when he
attempts to get between her and her food dish, or when he comes up on the
bed - mostly she keeps her distance, and he doesn't push his luck.
Today was...

Cute, but I've never taken a broom or a dust pan to them by
Larry Osborne
I sometimes wonder about cats. Some peoples cats hate vacuums but will play
with the broom if you decide to sweep something up.
My pair almost never hear the vacuum as I hate the sound almost as much as
most cats. Indeed when I was a teenager my mother could drive me out of the
house just by...

Welcome Rituals by

Does your master/mistress have a ritual for welcoming you home?
Here's Natasha's ritual - Whenever I return home, especially after
being gone for several hours, Natasha greets me at the door. She is
rather vocal - rarrr rarrrr rarrrr. After greeting me, she heads
down the hallway, still...

[OT] Just needed to vent by

Sorry to dump this on you guys, but I need to vent somewhere that is
understanding and sympathetic and nonjudgmental. And this is the place.
Don't know if you know the story of Daniel, Joel's younger brother. 3 years
ago, Daniel had his drink spiked and as a result went off his rocker right
around...

A contribution for the Pirate Ship by

I humbly (being only a hoomin) offer this song to those aboard the Good
Ship Mouser. I hope that it meets with approval. For those who don't
know the original tune, find someone who does rennaissance faires, SCA,
or likes sea chanties. Odds on they *will* know this one.
