Will cats share a scratching post by Mark Healey
I just made a nifty sisal scratching post/lobby ashtray combo. One cat uses it and the other still uses the couch (bad kitty). It this a teritory thing? Should I make another post? -- Mark Heaely marknews(at)healeyonline(dot)com

Will cats in same litter mate, and when? by Calvin Rice
My six kittens born on August 7 will be spayed/neutered the week of February 7. Six months is the time I have had kittens neutered in the past, and six months is the earliest that my vet wants to do it. My questions are, what is the earliest age at which cats can mate, and do cats in the same...

Will an new cat pee on my carpet where my old cat peed? by Marilyn44
I had an 11yr old cat the constantly peed in the hallway and pretty much where she felt like it despite keeping her litter box clean. We eventually gave her away because of this. I could not take it anymore cleaning carpet twice a week only to have her pee again on the same areas. My children want...

Will a dog whistle affect a cat? by Lisa C
Neighbor across the street often ties up his two little yappy dogs and one large dog on his front porch. ANYTHING will set these guys off barking, which doesn't seem to bother said neighbor. I have thoughts of getting one of those silent dog whistles to see if it might make any difference in...

Will a cat get jealous of another cat ? by Baldoni[_8_]
I always thought they didn't as they seem to do their own thing. I took in a new young cat and now have 3. I have noticed the oldest of my cats Lou Lou come running over and making a noise if I make a fuss of the new cat or if he comes and sits by me. I don't treat any of them any different...

will 110V kill a 1 1/2 pound kitten? by [email protected]
Hi, I have seen some discussion here on how to stop cats chewing electrical cords. I have a slightly different question on the subject. I have a 6 week old kitten, 1 1/2 pounds now, and he loves to bite and scratch electrical cords. I sprayed lots of some bitter-tasting deterrent from a pet...

WILL CAT COPE. by [email protected]
I plan to go away for a week or so. I acquired a cat in the autumn, that can previously been a neighbors cat but he wouldnt settle in the new home she moved to in another street. He kept running here. I lived with a friend and she will be here when I am away. The cat sl;eeps under my...

wildcat needs home by [email protected]
I have a nine month old wild cat. Any suggestions on finding him a home? The vet and pound and cat shoppe in my area said you can't really find homes for a wildcat very easily if at all. And now he's not a kiten anymore which will make it harder I would think. Thanks

Wild stray with URI needs help by Mike
I have a sick cat that came here as stray a few months ago. I think he has an URI but there is no way in heck I can get him to a vet. He is extremely skittish and wild. He will only let me near him; he runs away from other people or will try to bite them. If I put him in a cat carrier, he will tear...

wild cats, care and support by [email protected]
Two cats have adopted us / our subusrban house. Their mother and a sib are gone(probably killed by predator) We heard screeching one night and somehow both of these survived. Not sure what is after them, we have racoons and fox about.... Anyway, I have tried to capture them to get them spayed...

Wild cats by John Doe
Taking care of a neutered female outside. This morning it ate a full meal and then left. One hour later, it was back on the porch and I saw it swat at the opening to its Omega Paws litter box. Confused, I stepped out and noticed some feathers lying around. In the box, the bird was still alive...

Wild cat by DeeC
My sister works for a person who captures stray cats outside his work place, takes them to get spayed or neutered then releases them back. This 1 year old he decided to keep and my sister fell in love with it. He gave it to her. She took it home to try to domesticate it. That was 2 weeks ago. No...

Wiggle worms by cybercat
I feed the cats in the kitchen, probably like most of you. Due to their different personalities, one stands and stares at me and (I think) cusses me in cat language for taking so long. The other rolls over and over on the floor, and does this weird and very cute thing where she inches forward...

Wierd burying behaviour by Angela St.Aubin
One of my cats Josephine threw up on the hall floor, and I was on the phone, so I did not clean it up right away. After a minute or two, she returned to the pile, and then kept sniffing it and then "scratching" at the floor around it, in all directions, then smelling it again. I think she was...

Wierd black dots near mouth by Angela St.Aubin
I just noticed something strange on one of my cats. Along the top ridge of her mouth, on the outside, in the fur, but right next to her "lips" there are dozens of tiny black specs.. they look almost like blackheads. Any ideas of what they are, or if anything needs to be done?
