Purrs for sick kitten, please by Magic Mood JeepĀ©
I went to the local Pet Smart yesterday, and in their adoption center there was a small, 8-10 week old kitten, white with black or grey spots. Poor thing was so tiny, had a very bad cold (URI), snot running down it 's adorable pink nose, and had poop & cat litter stuck to it's butt. When I went...

RW Intrusions (kind of longish) by Sherry
Well, my busy season is starting, and I was off taking care of business and off line for a couple days. Glad business is good, but don't get *too* busy! BTW. You're the lawn expert. Does monkey grass grow in the shade? (A friend gave me a crapload of the stuff. I'm not sure what to do with...

Thanks for answering the question by NHunkele
Thanks so much for all the help. I talked to my vet who said to take the kitten back to its mother. The woman came and got her and will have her vet check it out. She will keep the baby for another 2-3 weeks. My male cat already misses her. He thought this was the nicest thing to ever happen...

Persia scratching the sofa by jmcquown
She gets up on the arm of the sofa and starts that scratching thing, all willy nilly, like she's going to shred it to pieces... but she has no claws except in the back (no debates, please, that's how she was when I was adopted). So I like to tease her - you silly girl, what do you think...

WARNING: TRULY LETHAL CUTENESS by Kreisleriana
http://tinyurl.com/2uf24 Theresa alt.tv.frasier FAQ: http://www.im-listening.net/FAQ/ Single-mindedness is all very well in cows or baboons; in an animal claiming to belong to the same species as Shakespeare it is simply disgraceful. (Aldous Huxley)

Fresh catnip is strong stuff!!! by Victor Martinez
We have a little catnip plant in a pot. The one we planted last year got smothered by a neighborhood cat, so we put this one on the deck, where we don't usually get feline visitors. I grabed one leaf of it today, rubbed in on my fingers and approached the cat enclosure. Maya started yowling real...

Well, that was exciting, not so mighty hunters by John Biltz
This morning shortly after full daylight a small bird flew in through the gap at the bottom of my screened patio I leave for the cats to come and go. As it happens both cats were out on the patio lounging. I don't know who was more surprised the cats or the bird. The bird got lost of course and...

Annie - Hubby's surgery was a success by JoJo
Hi everyone. I talked to Annie earlier today, her husband's surgery seems to have been a success! He was able to get up and walk without any pain. He was resting comfortably and napping. Annie says everyone they have met have been very nice to them, and they had a nice view of the city from...

Picture of my kitty..... by Gandalf
I managed to get a fairly nice picture of my wonderful kitty Kenzie scanned, and I put it on alt.binaries.pictures.animals. You can see her pretty coat, and the way it looks like she's been in a bowl of butterscotch pudding g. I'd like to put this photo someplace permanent, so I could put a...

Is there something about strawberries? by Christine Burel
Whenever I get fresh strawberries I get very interested cats, particularly Midnight. She rubs her face all over the carton and practically rolls on the kitchen counter. I've offered her one and she sniffs it but hasn't eaten it -- are strawberries related to catnip? Christine

Harvey trapped me by Lots42 The Library Avenger
So I lean the recliner back. Harvey jumps on the foot rest and lays down. Since the remote has been nonfunctional ever since the beginning of Remote-Broken-Time I'm stuck watching Whose Line Is It Anyway. Fortunately it was some decent ones. -- "Oh, trusty soda machine! I push you for root beer,...

Purrs for a kit by Mishi
I have a 11 week old little white and gray girl kit, Gabby, who isn't feeling well. She hasn't eaten (other than what I have force fed her) in almost 24 hours. She is going to the vets tomorrow to be checked out. She is pitiful, as she acts like she wants to eat, but sniffs it and walks away, then...

Purrs for my old/new Love by jmcquown
John is in the hospital. He has (they think) diverticulitis. I'm not convinced of that since he said he felt something "pull" while helping a guy carry something. Hernia, anyone? Tests show it's not appendicitis and he is convinced he will be able to go home tomorrow. I offered to come over -...

New clothes? by CK
I thought I'd got myself some new clothes by mail order, but apparently all I had got was a pile of bedding for Laku. http://tinyurl.com/yswvp There must be something about new clothes that tickles his fancy, or maybe he just wants to give them a homier smell... :) -- Christine in Vantaa, Finland

Kitten update by Marina
There are more pics of my niece's Russian Blue kittens at http://mia.daug.net/kitten4.php Next Sunday they will be 12 weeks old and most of them will be going to their new homes then. I wish I had time to go and see them one last time, but I don't, so have to make do with the pics. -- Marina,...

Swiffer Wet Jet Hoax by Margaret Fine
There is apparently a internet letter being circulated saying that the swiffer wet jet cleaning system uses something similar to atifreeze in the cleaner and that it can kill dogs and cats. I did some research after someone passed the letter on to me and it seems to be a hoax and the products are...
