I am now attempting to get in the habit of brushing my cats teeth and am
wondering if I can use a regular toothbrush and what non-harmful toothpaste
I can use for them? I would buy the toothpaste they...

cat spay and recovery by
[email protected]
I posted recently about a neighbours cat who was bleeding. Since my
post I arranged with Cats Priotection to fund a cat spay operation on
behalf of the owner. yesterday I took the little lady to the vet and
it was done. I bought her home and once out of the carrier started
to tug at her...

Cat's Claws by
Kiran
http://www.felinefuture.com/catcare/clawsofthecat.php
The cat's claws are unique in the animal kingdom in design and
function. Many mammals have claws, with the primary function as an aid
in digging and climbing, and for added traction. The claws of these
animals are continuously growing, like our...

Chelsea (the second of the "sponsored kitties") has been adopted by
MaryL
Good news! I wrote some time ago about the two kitties I was "sponsoring"
by paying for vetting, innoculations and spay/neuter (a male and a female).
The little male was adopted almost immediately -- although the ideal would
have been for them to be adopted as a pair -- and the little female...

cat eye problem. by
dragon
My female cat started very last night with an aggressive pawing at
her own eye, which seemed closed. I could not see anything in there
when I looked gently except it was obviously sore, She settled on
my bed for the night although her eye was closed, and all as quiet
until 3am when she...

A few pictures of Tortle (and friends) by
22brix
I have more pictures of my kitties elsewhere but I am not always on speaking
terms with my computer. One of these days I'll try to compile a few more.
Unfortunately the only cat in this group of photos still alive is Hailey,
Tortle's big fluffy brother. He is the fluffier...

Caring for dogs by
Loving Pets
I am 8 months pregnant and recently my dog started acting very
strange. At first she started sleeping in the bed, right beside me, on
my pillows like a person would. And now in the past few days she has
started whining all the time if I don't constantly sit with her.
Yesterday she started walking...

bringing in cat - update by
jr via CatKB.com
Sunday update:
Both cats have their claws but do have them trimmed. For the most part the
male (resident cat) ignores the door but when he hears the female (new
resident) he comes over and still growls and hisses. Just a few moments
ago, there was a lashing out between them, paws going after one...

what might this be by
Andrew Brown
I left a hastily composed message a few days ago and a few people
kindly replied, about the problem I have with my neighbor in relation
to his cat and my attempts to get the cat some help. There is a
history in this forum about it. However, I would again ask for
anyone to please look at the...

Mild medication to reduce stress/spraying? by
Kelly
Hi all,
So I was the one that posted about my recently neutered 1 and a half year
old male that would not stop howling and meowing. So he is now boarding at
my work (vet clinic).
Today we let him out to walk around the clinic ... first of all, whenever he
found himself alone, he would start to...

CRF/Kidney Transplant by
WildWestCats
One of my kitties, Tribble, was diagnosed about 2 weeks ago with CRF.
She had lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time, which is what
precipitated a vet visit. Blood tests showed her BUN to be 64 and her
creatinine 5.3. For now, we're trying to manage this through diet. I
have 4 other cats...

The Kittens venture out by
Cheryl
After doing the semi-anual deck cleaning and sealing, I got the enclosure
back up. It hasn't been opened up yet this season, so today is the first
day the kittens have seen the big OUT.
Rhett figured out how to work the pet flap in 15 minutes. I'm so proud;
this boy is SMART. Scarlett hasn't...
