It didn't work out! : by CatNipped[_2_]
I've been talking with the owner of the rescue group I got Tayla from since Monday. She hasn't been able to come up with anything either and I think we both came to the agreement that Tayla has to be an "only cat". Tayla will be going back to the fosterer's house Thursday night for re-adoption...

Tiger's mats are gone by ---MIKE---
After slowly breaking up the mats on Tiger's hips I have been very diligent about brushing (with the Zoom Groom) and combing several times a day. Luckily he likes this. So far there has been no signs of new mats. I really wanted to avoid a trip to TED for sedating and shaving like last year. ...

Organic food. by Z
Organic foods are produced according to certain production standards. For crops, it means they were grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge, and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or food additives. More information...

Sammy Update by CatNipped
The vet, last night, said she was still running a slight temperature and her breathing and heart rate were up. She lost an additional .20 pounds in just two day since the last vet visit (again, *WAY* too much for a cat to be losing), but she wasn't severely dehydrated as I feared she might be. ...

Kittens, The Comedy by CatNipped
Today is wash day at the Crews' home. Before I wash I separate all the dirty clothes into piles on my kitchen floor. I needed to wash a comforter and that was in a pile all by itself since it is a large, king-sized spread which will be a load all by itself. Da Boyz thought I was a wonderful...

Feline Cycles by [email protected]
My cat is almost a year old (born Septemer). She must had some puberty by now but nothing too discomfiting. What I want to know is, do heat cycles occur regularly, annually, predictably, or what? (What I REALLY want to know is can I avoid the extortionistic expense of spaying and innoculating her...

Oscar The 13 1/2 Yr Old Maine Coon Cat by W. K. Mahler, Mahlers.Com
Has got allergies just like a human being gets a runny eye once in awhile. Clear liquid, once pink, once clear and grey. ....Anything short of going to the vet that I may use (other than wiping it off with my finger). Thanks -- William K. Mahler, http://www.mahlers.com

Oh for Gawd's Sake! by CatNipped[_2_]
God forbid I tell anyone else how/when/why to post - this *IS* UseNet. But I am *SO* sick of the juvenile bull**** always being posted here to the exclusion of any on-topic posts - and apparently I'm not the only one since a lot of long-time regulars seem to have given up and gone away (which...

Kitty learns how to get attention by Cheryl
A long time ago when Rhett and Scarlett (littermates, now 3 years old, but adopted at about 9 weeks) were learning how to play, how to scratch their toys, learning everything, I would praise them for scratching their posts and cat tree and the turbo scratcher that everyone loves. Over time...

Da Boyz Snippet Video by CatNipped
This is from the much longer video I'm uploading of the boys playing. I wanted this one to be separate so that 1) those who are on slower connections could still get a glimpse of them and 2) this one clip kind of epitomizes their play and 3) it's hilarious to me - wait for the very...

Standing in Line at Petsmart by Sherry
I was behind a woman who had a bag of "Cat Attract" litter. (this is litter that's supposed to actually attract cats. It's used also for training kittens to use the litterbox.) She also had two Feliway diffusers, a gallon of Nature's Miracle, a blacklight, and a new litterbox. It wasn't hard to...

16 Year Old Cat by [email protected]
I have a cat named Sammy, he is 16 years old. I have noticed in the last few days that his fur is ruffled and he is not eating as much as he used to. He is thinning out and throwing up his food, and a clear foamy liquid. The vets have told me that it's just old age. I'm really worried about...

New Kitty Mom by [email protected]
Hi everyone! I posted awhile ago when Kirby wasn't feeling so great. She's much much better now and such a little darling. She's my first ever cat though, and I always am sort of unsure what to do. My boyfriend and I are young and we realize Kirby should be around another 15 or 20 years (here's to...
