Diagnosing cancer in animals by
Mike S.
How do you diagnose cancer in animals before it's too late to treat?
In people, there's all sorts of tests that can be done on a yearly
basis such as breast and prostate exams, plus many others. But tests
like those don't really exist for animals. When was the last time
anyone heard about taking...

Cat food - which have the lowest phosphorus? Paging PhilP by
Juls
PhilP, are you out there? I know you know a lot about feline nutrition,
and really could use your input.
In reading and talking about Dmitri's CRF, I'm seeing the controversy
over whether or not low protein diet is the way to go. But the one
thing is clear...the lowest amount of phosphorus seems...

Which human foods can cats eat? by
Newbie
Which human foods can cats eat? Not as exclusive diet, but once in a
while, without harming their health.
A casual glance at our fridge shows: cooked shrimp, baked chicken, ham,
bacon, sausage, canned tuna, salmon. Oh, and I just scambled some eggs
for myself.
All of this is non-vegetable. Can...

Sydney O via CatKB.com
I have a 5-year old cat named Fluffy, she's a female obviously and since
we're (me and my mom) aren't home for like 9 hours and she's a cat who likes
attention so it's kinda a problem. Now I'm getting a kitten that's 8-weeks
old. I really want them to become good friends. See the problem is should...

Let's Talk About Drugs by
whitershadeofpale
I know many of your cats are taking medication.
I wanted to ask about the general cost of these sorceries, and is this
also something the Canadians have caught on to, like they have done
with Poeople medsin.

word. I have the email where you offered me your cell phone number--and
where I asked if I might call you after you picked Conan up,and you

Giving meds - tip, "The Mummy" by
Juls
I've been struggling with giving Jack eye drops and oral antibiotics
and he doesn't like it.
When I take the boys to the vet (one at a time), I wrap them in a large
towel, like a mummy. For Dmitri, it's always made him feel safe and he
is restrained without being in a carrier. They don't try to...

What kind of grass? by
Conan Kelly
Does anyone know what kind of grass would be good to try to grow that would
be health and safe for cats to eat?
I don't want to go to PetSmart and buy their pet grass anymore. It's kinda
expensive.
Thanks
Conan Kelly

de-claw grief by
Jen
I generally consider myself a well-educated protector of animals. I
take the stance that all animals are innocent and deserve to be treated
with the same respect as people. I fundraise for shelters that are of
"NO KILL" policy and volunteer my time wherever needed. That being
said, after what I've...

Sick Cat - Second Opinion or Specialist? Lymphoma? by
Pat
Hello all - this is my first post and I'm hoping you all have some
advice for me.
My cat Snowball is about 10 years old. We adopted her when she was
around 2 from Humane Society. She's been having normal checkups since
then (around 1998) with the last normal one June 2004.
In December 2004 we...

Can a pregnant cat be in heat? by
Amy V via CatKB.com
Thanks again for all your help. I posted a question about a rescued mother
cat last week and the feedback was wonderful!
This cat is obviously in heat. Can she also be pregnant, or does a heat cycle
stop once she has conceived? She weighs 5lbs, we weigh her every 2 days, and
she hasn't made any...
