The kitty litter factory by Dan M
Since my last programming job ended I've been driving a truck. Not a bad gig overall, other than getting paid so little that I'm going broke :( Thursday evening I had a very interesting load assignment. I was to pickup from a company called "Golden Tidy Products" in Maricopa, CA. I drove down...

Thank you by gracecat
I haven't much to say, other than thank you. The flowers were overwhelming, the notes were beautiful. I read Pam's first letter, and her last. And I also have the services on tape. If anyone would like to hear the letters to Eve being read, I can rip that to an MP3 in the next few days. I have...

Got her!!! by Dan M
She is now in her closet in the computer room once again, resting from a long, energetic day of exploring. And I want to thank you all for purrs and words of encouragement. I guess I'm just an overprotective mama. Blessed be, Baha Yeah!

No matter how small the box... by Sherry
... Nikki must needs squeeze into it. The photos aren't very good, but I had to darken them because the flash made evrything glaring white. You can just make out the edges of the box, though Nikki covers most of them with her body. ;o) Why, oh why do they do that?? It's like the smaller the...

Small joys by LOL
Tallulah and Hubert are adjusting very, very well to having a home. It's little things that sometimes make me realize what a long way we've come. Lula still has the stray's habit of very light sleeping, but now instead of leaping up, wide awake and anxious, when you walk into the room she'll just...

Real Life gets in the way by Tanada
Hi crew. Real life has got me in it's talons and won't let go, it seems. For what it's worth, I can't even get a chance to work on the gigantic cat quilt we're trying to put together. Anyway, I'm back, wading through over 1600 messages, and hoping that no one is upset by my not responding to...

OT running bubbels as a standalone by jhill
I have figured out how to run bubbels on my Windows XP machine as a standalone, so I don't have to be connected to the web to play it. The process is somewhat long, but I will post it if enough are interested.

[Bubbels] High Score tally by Yowie
Ok, everyone send me their best scores - mentioning whether you finished the game or not, and I'll put the scores up on my Angelfire site (where the FAQ is). The "Not finished" will be sorted by highest score, the "finished" will be lowest score first. Yowie Bubbeloholic No.012

Worry Worry by LOL
We are taking Mike in the morning to the internal medicine specialist. This is exactly what we want to do, of course, but I can't help but be apprehensive. Poor Mikey is going to have an appx. 2 1/2 hour car ride, and then we have no idea what we'll be facing at the end of it. I am very hopeful,...

Job Purr Request by Jeanne Hedge
I've been unemployed for 2 months now, and had my first interview on Thursday. I'm really interested in the job I interviewed for, it's back in my old area of expertise and would be a *lot* more interesting than my last job (programmer). As a believer in the Power of Purr, it would be greatly...

Cats and jigsaw puzzles by Doe John
Decided to put together a 2000 piece jigsaw on a table , instead of on the hardwood floor. Much less space to work with, but easier on my body. My cat of course was curious, and took a few stabs at the pieces as I sorted through them. She knocked a few onto the floor, I chased her off, no problem....

Your purrs worked again - THANKS!!!! by CatNipped
I just talked to the vet's office and they said Sammy was just fine, she's awake and came through like a trooper. When I asked, they said they "discouraged" mommies from coming to visit since it makes the kitty think she's going home and stresses her more when she can't - but they'll allow a visit...

Basho is a music critic by Victor Martinez
Kinda. We were watching TV (can you see a theme for this weekend?) and I had Basho on my chest, his favorite spot. There was a catchy tune that I started whistling (is that the right spelling?). Basho looked at me with really big eyes and proceeded to bat my mouth with his paw. I laughed and tried...

Emergency purrs - FIP by Caroline S.
SIL messaged me today, her 4 month old kitten Chloe has been diagnosed with FIP. I have no other information at this time. I'm going to try to talk to her later this evening. Sound like TED says to PTS. I've found some web resources, most more confusing than helpful. Purrs that PTS can be...

It feels like a submarine hunt... by Howard Berkowitz
without the sonar, helicopters, radar, etc. A gray cat generally meeting Ding's description has now been reported twice in an area of townhouses, which unfortunately is quite dense with winding streets, patches of woods, and lots of foliage. The reports are from two ends of a two-block area, and...

What, if anything, are you doing to combat the comercialism of theseason? OT, but WTH by Tanada
Sherry's post about the commercialism of the holidays got me thinking. Some years money is really tight and we don't have a choice but to keep the season simple. Other years we have plenty of money and the hard thing is not to go overboard with giving. Last year was a tight year and I just handed...
