A very good evening with OtherKitty, aka Sweetie by Mark Edwards
A very good evening with OtherKitty, aka Sweetie. She is very quick about extending trust to me. Tonight, I brought out a small towel to dry her off because she was wet. For a few minutes I got the "Oh no! You are going to do something unspeakable to me with that towel!" But she is very food...

Boyfie's fur by Christina Websell
It took 9 months to grow back from his operation but it's great now. When Claire was looking after him when I was in hospital she told me that she saw him "on the other side of the road" I said "are you sure it was him?" she said "yes, unless there is another half shaved cat around here" So he...

Senyah 'hears' the cats now by Mark Edwards
I have to smile. A little while ago, Senyah tells me, "Miss Emily is at the window, and she says it's raining." It wasn't that long ago when Senyah laughed when I told her that cats say things to me. Also, I went to the door and let a slightly damp Miss Emily inside.

It's too nippy by Christina Websell
It was -4C last night and Boyfie refused to go out all day to toilet himself. I pushed him out at 3pm but he came back immediately claiming it was far too cold. Eventually he went out at 10pm and I expected him back very soon. It almost as cold tonight. but no. He was out until midnight...

Unhappy feral by Mark Edwards
I so love it when OtherKitty comes bounding across the parking lot to see me, tail held high. Before I even put down food, she wants to be petted. Later, I brought Little Feet out, to look around and sniff the air. OtherKitty was not amused, and refused to come near, as long as That Other Cat...

Be careful what you wish for by Joy
I wished for Koala to get over his timidness and come out from under the bed. I got that wish in spades! He still hasn't come up in my lap, although I've seen him considering it a time or two. Otherwise, he is obviously completely at home now. Earlier today he nudged Pickles (who is at least...

I'm exercising a poodle by Christina Websell
because he belongs to a disabled person and the normal dog-walker has broken her ankle. I met him yesterday. He wasn't sure about whether to go out with me at all, so his tail was down for the whole walk. Just in case I was kidnapping him and he never got home. Today, he greeted me like a...

More on cat cafes in Edinburgh by Jack Campin
It appears there are *two* proposed cat cafes here. The first one I heard about, near where I work, does in fact seem to be as snooty as people here feared - pedigrees only, very high prices and control freak rules. The other proposed one intends to use ordinary rescue cats and will be a lot more...

OT, and kind of late by Cheryl[_3_]
My sister lost her battle with cancer on Nov 17. So much to deal with including her two minor children, twins, almost 15. She was at her worst for the last 3 weeks before her death and there is nothing worse than telling two children their mother is going to die. She couldn't live without...

Treat for the cats by Mark Edwards
Turkey is in the oven. I usually pan fry the giblets and savor them. Today, I minced the raw giblets and offered them to the cats. Little Feet and Miss Emily were very fond of the liver and heart. Hugs and Purrs, Mark

Grumpy cat slave by Mark Edwards
So this morning, Senyah is up and at 'em at 6am (WHY?). Miss Emily says she wants out, so Senyah opens the door for her. Little Boy quickly follows. So Senyah comes in, wakes me up and tells me that Little Boy is out. I grump mightily, walk outside and no Little Boy. Then he walks up the...

Gotta work on my timing by Mark Edwards
Twice, I have gone outside to bring Miss Emily in at night, greeting her with "Hi, sweetie!", just as our next door neighbor's wife/girlfriend/whatever comes out of their apartment to leave for work. I do hope she realizes that I am talking to a cat, and am not some weird perv... ohwait, that...

Sugar Kitten has died by Mark Edwards
Sugar Kitten, the 6-month old feral that I've been feeding along with Pilot and OtherKitty (mommy and daddy to Sugar Kitten), was found lying dead near the steps by our upstairs neighbor. He appeared to have died peacefully. I am very sad that I could not capture him in time. Hugs and...

Bogus Emails by jmcquown[_2_]
I have been getting bogus (hijacked emails) from alleged RPCA members. Pam Shirk and Leslie Vaughn are two. The emails make no sense so I suspect their accounts have been hijacked. DO NOT CLICK ON THESE LINKS. Jill

Harmful: cat deterrent! by [email protected]
The neighbors have a cat repellent. This sound is audible to humans. Our daughter of 2 years old: She has her ears bloody scratched. I get tinnitus of these sounds. It is high-frequency sound which also makes use of the Mosquito against loitering. The sound of the cat deterrent is 140 decibels....

TIGER RB 12/1/14 by Mike Mayers
Tiger stopped eating. The vet found a large lump in his abdomen which under surgery was found to be inoperative. Tiger was sent to the bridge about 3 pm this afternoon. I will be looking at a pair of cats - brother and sister tomorrow. I feel so strange with no cats tonight.
