What is she doing? by
Ann
Last night I was washing up for bed and as DH was not home I left the
bathroom door open. Sam and Abby were laying outside the door watching me. I
looked at them and wondered what they must be thinking.
Sam: What is she doing now?
Abby: Putting water on her face and then she puts this stuff...

Chicken Invasion by
Steve Touchstone
The Touchstone Kitty Cafe has recently been invaded by chickens - yes
chickens. I mentioned a while back that Sammy spotted a rooster
through the window, and was fascinated at the BIG bird. There have
been no rooster sightings for quite a while - I think the owner
corraled him and has been keeping...

Talk about B*st*rd Cat tricks!!! by
Pat
Last night I caught Abelard getting ready to use a stray plastic bag as a
sandbox (he was actually digging at it!) and moved him to the litterbox,
which of course he climbed right back out of. We stayed in the bathroom
together for quite a while doing this dance. Finally I just left him locked...

I am so proud of Kitty Farmcat by
Christina Websell
There have been no more accidents, she is using her new litterbox in the
bathroom that I really should have understood that she needed before now.
An hour ago she raced upstairs to use it, Yes, she ran very fast despite
the fact that she could have just gone outside the open door and found a...

[OT] Katrina Recovery - More Photo Journal by
CatNipped
Sorry I haven't been around for a while. I wouldn't even be posting now
(because of the pain in my arm) except that I promised everyone I'd let them
know as soon as more pictures from my daughter's family's photo-journal of
their recovery from Katrina.
All I can say is wow, just.........

Silver and Tessie - printer monitors extraordinaire by
Karen AKA Kajikit
Silver and Tessie have discovered they share a joint fascination -
with the printer and scanner. Every time I turn either of them on they
jump up, run to the craftroom, and jump up on the desk to supervise
operations. It can be a little hard when one of them jumps onto the
whirring scanner :P
If...

Etymology question by
Bill Stock
Where does the term "Pan Crocking" come from? I can't find it in Wikipedia
or Google, but we used it all the time as kids. Perhaps I've got it spelled
incorrectly. My best guess would be that it comes from a cooking term? It
means impatient or hurried BTW, at least that's the way we used it.

belly rubs w/sound effects by
Mishi
My little tuxie guy, Gabriel loves belly rubs! He will get a case of
'jelly' legs when I walk by, so I just have to give him some rubs. He
chirps and trills all the time I am rubbing that beautiful white belly
of his. Does anyone else have a cat that does that? The rest of my
crew don't do this....

Frogs?!?! by
badwilson
Today was my first day off after working 5 days straight. With Dennis
away too, Vino didn't have much company during the days lately. So
today he was super duper affectionate. I must have gotten up a hundred
times to let him in and out of the back yard. It was a cold and eerie
day so it was...

New Truck by
Dave Gerecke
Several years ago a neighbor's son stopped by my garage one afternoon
and asked if I could help out with a
problem he was having with his "new" truck, a 1972 Chevy half ton, 4x4.
I asked him what the problem was and he told me he had been out playing
in the snow that afternoon and pulled his truck...

We sat outside! by
jmcquown
Persia and I sat outside for a bit before it got hot again :) She was in
her kitty-walk sniffing around and I was on my patio swing, reading. Some
sparrows came up and looked at the bird feeder. Persia looked at the birds
they looked at her. Then she looked at me. Oh, are those birds? :D

Dulce Mae: phone screener by
Mark Edwards
I have the cell phone nearby. To ensure call clarity, I use a
headset, which is plugged in and ready for use.
Dulce Mae is also close.
Every now and then, her tail lashes a bit, and she slaps the
mouthpiece. Or she tries to grab the cord. Or she pushes the phone
towards me.
I keep telling...

Speaking of the Red Dot! by
jmcquown
I was playing with Persia with her laser pointer (the keychain type like
Lesley won and MMJ has). The batteries ran out! The dot got progressively
less dot-like and finally it didn't do anything! Persia was on the back of
the couch, pawing at it at the time. I quickly donned my sandals...
