My cat has sores on her nose! by
Frank Klein
Hi,
Frisky, my 11 year old female indoor cat, has developed a series of
small sores on her nose. They are scabbed, and have progressed from the
area between her nose proper and her forehead, and are now going toward
her lips. I called the vet, and after I described the problem in
detail, she...

snorting by
Susan Garvin
My female cat likes to have her head scratched. She usually opens her mouth
while I scratch, and tonight she made some snorting noises. Is there
something wrong?

Question for Phil P. by

Phil
I automatically sort messages here and delete
all but yours.
My concern is, eventually, you will move on.
Question is, could you give me any names of
other valuable contributors to this group.
Thanks indeed.

Amber lost a tooth by
---MIKE---
My 9 year old, Amber, lost one of her upper fangs today. I found it on
the floor and it looks like it broke off. She eats mostly canned food -
only nibbles on dry if she wants me to give her more wet. She seems to
be eating normally. I guess this means a trip to the vet next week.
She doesn't...

Distemper by
Cindi
Newbie here...thanks in advance if any of you can answer my questions about
distemper. Stopped at the local humane society today and fell in love with an
adorable 16 week kitten. He's alert and lively and a little purr-machine.
HOWEVER, the shelter worker said he and his two brothers were born...

Sounds your cat makes by
Kuisse0002
I know this sounds so silly almost ridiculous! but my cat - when she sees me in
the morning (she's at her friendliest and most affectionate - because its
feeding time!) and I'm cuddling her and petting her - she makes a sound which
sounds so much like she's saying a word - "wa - wa" and when I say...

Well....thank you by
Nancy Verzich
My first foray into this newsgroup was not a nice one. Except for a very
select few who responded with caring and kindness (and to those, thank you
very much), the rest of those who responded were not very nice to me. I
didn't post to ask for your approval or your lectures....I was upset...

Cats and International Air Travel by
Steve Remington
In a recent posting a group member asked about travelling with their cat on
airlines.
Many of the repliers seemed very much against having a cast travel in the
cargo section.
I am curious to know why becaue we are planning move from Australia to Great
Britain in about two years to live for about...

Duffy the Acrobat (new photos) by
MaryL
Some of you have followed the story of Holly and Duffy. Holly is my black
cat, the one we used to call "the black tornado" because she was so
aggressive toward any other cat. Duffy is my blind cat (gray with white
markings), adopted several months ago and integrated into an environment
with one...

Drontal- deworming by
katja
Hi,
My cat is an in- and outdoor cat.
Because he got worms several times when I lived in California, I
started deworming him once a month with Drontal...and I used Advance
against the flees.
A couple of weeks ago I moved to Seattle, WA. Do I have to deworm him
less frequently? Maybe every other...

update on Sully by
Rebecca B
Sully seems to be back to his usual self now.
Saturday night (when my parents were over for a meal with my bf & I) he went
in his litter tray and did a 'motion' ... and boy could we tell as he stank
the room out! At least the catalax seems to have worked, and he's playing
and purring away like he...

our kitten's first? trip to the vet... by
Michael Kelly
Hello... I took our kitten to the vet on Wednesday to spayed. When I
picked
her up on Thursday, the vet told me something interesting. When she was
opened
her up, there was nothing there. This is a kitten that we had adopted from
a
pet shelter. The shelter had told us that she was approximately...

Update on chemo by
Betsy
Thanks to all who responded.
Secondo had her first chemo today. Her URI seems to have abated and her
incision was almost totally healed.
She seems to feel a little under the weather, but I've been given an
anti-nausea pill for her.
Hopefully, the cancer was cured by the surgery. It had not...
