I didn't agree with the actions and took them of his hands. Anyways... they *will* be going to a good home as my friends daughter is 9...

Well it's been an interesting Xmas... by Helen Miles
Well it's been an "interesting" (as in the Chinese curse sense) Xmas for me. I got rushed to the ER on Xmas eve at 9pm with stomach cramps as was there until 5am Christmas morning having MRI's and tests as they thought it was appendicitis. It wasn't fortunately, but I was rough all the same. :o( I...

Everyone is home... by Helen Miles
Well, Lily isn't yet. ;o) I've just got my guys picked up from the cattery. The cattery is lovely, and the staff are very competent and kind, but the mogs hate being cooped up and they don't enjoy it. I got home and opened the carriers and everyone was immediately out and checking the house. It...

OT Rant by Helen Miles
I applied to teacher training college last year. I was late in my application, but when i had an interview at the training college they said I would have a guaranteed place this year provided I took a Chemistry A'level. So, I dutifully went back to school, 2 nights a week to take this...

The Cat Flap... by Helen Miles
I had a cat flap installed in the kitchen dooor today. Now I'm up to 5 cats, and the spring and summer are coming, I figured it was only fair to the mogs for them to be able to go out during the day. You have NEVER seen such excitement! Robbie, Lily and Tiger all supervised Martin the guy who came...

OT Rant - Update...& the cat flap by Helen Miles
I emailed the course tutor for the teacher training course asking about my application. She was very good, and emailed me back with a reason about why I had been rejected. Turns out that she had made a king sized mistake! An administrative error by accident had meant that I was automatically...

Suggestions for doping a kitten... by Helen Miles
Does anyone have any suggestions for slowing a hyperactive hoolikitten down? Lily has had kitten greebling zoomies for the last hour and she shows no sign of slowing down. She's going mental - she's killed all the papers on my desk - twice, she's been up the curtains, she's beaten up the dog, she's...

I'm worried... by Helen Miles
You may remember Andrea Fuller with Grace, Poppy, Fliss and Flo? Well I've been trying to get hold of her by phone for the last couple of weeks to no avail. I've even sent a card asking her to ring me. I haven't spoken to her for a few months and I'm trying to catch up on her and the cats. I'm...

God I miss my babies. :o( by Helen Miles
Everyone has been dispatched to the cattery :o(. On the plus side, HRFL was well enought to go to the cattery, on the minus side, I REALLY MISS MY BABIES! My house is so quiet & silent. :o( Baby-kay Lily has gone off to her Christmas foster family (a friend of mine) and I can see the tumbleweeds...

Thank you for the cards by Helen Miles
Folks, Thank you all so much for the wonderful Christmas cards. They are cheering up a very, very rough few weeks - especially when I get home after a ****ty day and there's another 3 or 4 from friends around the world with personalised notes waiting on the mat. They are appreciated more than I...

Major purrs needed for a bittie by Helen Miles
Folks, We need some major purrs here. I have on the way to me a CP emergency. The information I have so far, is that a Cats protection person discovered a badly beaten tabby bittie in a rubbish skip this afternoon. He/she has been so badly beaten that as soon as the swelling has gone down, it will...

Bittie update by Helen Miles
Well, Bittie is at Chez Miles. From the sounds of it, she's (I'll call her a she, because that is what everyone thinks she is) had quite the adventure. :o( She was found in a rubbish skip this morning, and had a badly burst/ulcerated eye and a lot of blood all over her. She was immediately taken...

Further Miss Whiskers update... by Helen Miles
As you know, Miss Whiskers had her op to remove her left eye this morning. She is now back home, sacked out on a ho****er bottle covered in a sheepskin fleece, having eaten 2 packets of kitten whiskas. I think she's going to be OK. ;o) The vet says that she's skinny and underweight, but I think...

Hello folks ;o).... by Helen Miles
hfsuuiasjlashfjlb gtsigy3ervbwiuycu12356645721 Hi folks... Seems Miss Whiskers has decided to learn to become computer literate. Apparently the computer mouse cursor is the most amazing thing on the planet to chase. She's fascinated by it! Just watching it keeps her quiet for hours!!!

Update on Miss Whiskers Thurs PM by Helen Miles
Just got back from the ER. It seems that Miss Whiskers has an systemic infection from her ordeal. Quite apart from the damaged eye, something that I didn't mention on Friday was that when found, she also had quite badly burned paws which were all puffy, swolen, sore and red, a nasty gash at the...

SNOW! by Helen Miles
His Royal Feline Lordship Tiger is utterly horrified. Last night, Cardiff had the best part of 3" of snow. This now means that himself will get cold feet if he even so much as gets out of bed, let alone sticks his nose out of the back door. He is appalled. Of course, it's *MY* fault that there is...

It's official!! by Helen Miles
Miss Lilly-Whiskers was officially adopted by clan Miles today. All her paperwork has been signed off by Cats Protection, and I am now the proud slave of a 2lb fur ball. :o) The other cats seem happy about it too. Tiger was playing "chase and pounce" with Lilly for well over an hour this morning....

I've had a HRFL Tiger story accepted! by Helen Miles
A while back, I wrote a post about Tiger and Bonnie. Someone here suggested that I sent it to "Smarter than Jack", an organisation that produces books with true animal stories to raise money for animal shelters. I did submit the story, then promptly completely forgot all about it. In my IN-box...
