My cat wraps his toy thing around his body and then sits at my feet
staring at me to play with him does anyone else have cats with doglike
behaviour?

Fish food for cats by
Eddie2005 via CatKB.com
I feed my cat Wellness, 5.5 oz can. Usually he gobbles it right up, any
flavor.
But this morning, he wasn't interested - I served him half a can of their
"Chicken + Herring". The other half of the can was served the night before,
he had eaten most of that.
I thought this flavor was a little...

my cat has bad breath by
[email protected]
My cat has killer breath.
I took him to the vet. He does have gingivitis. The vet did not think
it was bad enough yet to treat aggressively. He gave him an
anti-biotic for two weeks which helped but only temporarily.
Otherwise the cat is perfectly fine. Happy, playful, eating.
What should I...

Indiana Feral Park Cats: Final Update (I hope) by
[email protected]
Apologies for taking so long to post this (hopefully) final update on
the feral park cats in Richmond, Indiana.
Ironically, it was politics that solved the problem. A new mayor was
elected, and she even (while campaigning) went out with the caretakers
and helped feed the ferals! She has since...

Another huuuuuuuuge kitty! by
Candace
Remember that pic that everone has seen with that girl holding that
big, huge kitty? Most people assumed it was photoshopped but,
actually, according to snopes.com, it's real and they have additional
photos of the girl and her cat, Riley, I think, posted there.
But here's another big one, also...

blocked cat--- how much does your vet charge for this? by
animzmirot
My 8 year old male cat was blocked when I woke up this morning. A trip to
the emergency vet later, we got an estimate of between $1250 and $1650 to
unblock him (with anesthesia), catheterize him, 2 overnights in the
hospital, antibiotics, and an analysis of his urine to determine what kind
of...

Another Meowing Post by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I know this is a common question - but I haven't really seen an answer
that I think will work. My kitty is 11 months old (we have had him for
3 months) he has adapted really well to us. Recently he has started
meowing as soon as the sun comes up. He has full rein of the house and
just...

Cars for Cats~ by
Philip
Yesterday, I tagged along on a test drive of a brand new top of the line
Toyota Avalon. Very NICE car with a powerful engine, separate rear A/C unit
for the back seat passengers and ... AND ... a cat door. Yes! A cat door!
Check it out! Just fold down the arm rest and there's the cat sized door...

Breakfast at Tiffany's by
Rhonda
Has anyone seen that movie? I had NO idea that a cat would be one of the
stars!
Loved the ending, although the poor kitty was so wet.
Once in awhile now I will grab one of our cats, hold him close and say
"CAAAAT, CAAAAAT..." (I know, there's probably a 12-step program for this.)

Thanks for the Advice about Maine Coons by
Bruce Maguire
Hi Everyone
Thanks for all the advice in response to my questions about Bengals
and Maine Coons. I've decided on a Maine Coon, and am in the process
of selecting a breeder (and especial thanks to Orchid for the
excellent article on how to go about this).
Cheers

Introducing the new cat by
Justin L
I picked up my new kitty tonight, and I am wondering how I should go
about introducing him to my kitten.
Right now, I have them separated. The new cat is locked in the bedroom
with all of his necessities, and my kitten is checking out the carrier I
brought the new cat home in.
How do I know when...

Is there a better alternative to litter boxes? by
Monique Y. Mudama
On 2005-02-04, Slipslidinaway penned:
My indoor-only cats don't have a problem with the boxes but I was wondering
about any alternatives. I have considered a doorway to an outdoor enclosure.
My wife won't let me train them to a toilet, if they'd cooperate, that is.
How do you set up your...

Time to kill Jackie? I hate this. by
dgk
Jackie is the old girl I adopted about seven months ago because she
looked so miserable. We took care of her primary problem, which
required extracting all of her teeth. She got somewhat better but her
diarrhea, presumably Inflamatory Bowel Disease, did not get better.
She's been on 7.5mg...

1 year cat barfing by
tony
We got to kittens a year ago. We fed them Purina Kitten food and then
went to what our other two adult cats eat, Iams Adult 1+ year Orginal.
Well, their not kittens now but one keeps barfing after eating and we
can't figure why.
Tried Hill's Prescription Diet 5482 but he won't eat it (a friend...

Cat Napper? by
Jean B.
Is the Cat Napper the window perch that can be velcroed onto the
sill (in addition to having the legs against the wall)? If not,
which perch is it that has the velcro strips? I want to get Mingy
a birthday present, and I was thinking of giving him a perch in my
bedroom. Thanks.

Tail problem by
Dave
First, please don't look at the pictures if you have a weak stomach.
Bear has a problem with his tail.
He's already seen a vet, she said the tip of the tail is dead and that
it will fall off on it's own, but if it gets infected, or there is any
puss or ooze or anything, bring him in and they'll...
