Lap blankets by ceb
Thanks to Janet for suggesting to another poster that he try putting a blanket on his lap to entice his cat -- this has been working like a charm with Rosalie. I don't know if she likes the fleece (well, I know she likes fleece! who wouldn't??) or if it just seems like a more solid surface, but she...

Heart Murmer and Spaying by xanera
My kitten, Lucky, was diagnosed with a heart murmer at her last vet appointment which was about a month ago. She's aproximately 5 months old now which means I'll be taking her to the vet soon to get spayed. All I was told is that it would possibly shorten her lifespan a bit :( and that I needed to...

Hello group, I've noticed that my new kitten, Dove, has a slight to moderate redness surrounding the outer layer of his eyes. His lids. I noticed this before* I brought him home last Friday and I asked the woman I got him from about it. She said that she had just noticed it too, as his sister had...

tapeworm and cats by tova77f
Hi... After doing some research on the Net, I figured out that my cat had tapeworms. I called the vet today and they gave me two options: either to make an appt or jus pick up the medicine. I decided for the latter and I've already given it to her. My question is, how long does it take for the...

Cat not eating much again by Paul O.
I guess we are gonna go thru this again. After these months of feeding Renal LP and the cat eating it, about the time the vet said he could go off of it, he decided he didn't want it anymore, ok no problem, time to start finding something he likes anyway. He just last weekend had a follow up blood...

Nightmare by ---MIKE---
I don't let my cats out - ever - so I don't know where this came from. In my dream I was walking at the end of my street when I saw a small gray cat and she was crying. Next to her was a small gray kitten - flat as a pancake - obviously run over (no blood or anything gross). There was also...

Why is cat pulling his hair out? by Trudy
I have recently adopted an older kitty - he is almost 16. While he is grooming, he will often pull out clumps of fur with his teeth. He has recently had four teeth extracted and is in early stages of renal failure. Why would he pull his fur out? Thanks!
