I Am An Ailurophile...I Guess shrug by
John Kasupski
I was web-surfing early this afternoon and ran across a web page full of cat
facts. I won't steal them all, but I can't resist sharing a few of them. My own
comments appear in parentheses.
"Sir Isaac Newton is not only credited with the laws of gravity but is also
credited with inventing the cat...

Annie's results by
theresa
The vet just called and Annie does have SCC. She's going to try and
get me in to see their specialist tomorrow, just to see all the
options.
I doubt that I will take any drastic measures. I'll probably keep her
as comfortable as I can until it's no longer in her best interest to
keep her...

Purrs Needed, Please by
CatNipped[_2_]
My son's cat, Taffy (my grandcat) is in need of some medical purrs. She has
an abscess on her side that just broke open and drained. The vet debrided
the wound, cleaned it out good, gave her antibiotics and said she would be
fine, but I know she's probably in a lot of pain and could use some...

Purrs Please by
Smokie Darling (Annie)
I'm again, asking for purrs.
My Barnabus has to see TED today. I think he's trying to pass blood
in his urine (he's a bashful box user, so we can't always tell with
him). I'm hoping it's a bladder infection, the alternative is
something I can't cope with.
I know the power of the purr, as you...

Update on Basho by
Victor Martinez
Spoke with Dr. Boggs today. Basho's kidney values are less than they
were yesterday, but still above normal. Overall she's pleased with his
progress. He's been on IV fluids yesterday and today and he gets some
sub-Q fluids before heading home. She's going to teach us (me more
likely) how to do...

Gertie Ferret may have a friend.... by
Helen Miles
My brother and I went to the local RSPCA animal shelter today to look at
ferret friends for Gertie. We were introduced to a very friendly big
albino boy with red eyes called Barney, who was a bit put out at being
woken up. He was gorgeous. He was built like a brick out house, and
about twice the...

For the folks that need some help making sure food is on the table by
Bridget[_5_]
Thank you for pointing this out. I have used them before, but they would
make my budget go further right now when I really need it. And it is high
quality food for anyone who has doubts. I always enjoyed what I got when I
was using them.

Something happened to my Nick by
[email protected]
I recently changed my email on my Google account. Next thing what
happened is that my name isnīt shown anymore when I post a message to
the group. It shows onmly my new email address. Strange.
I tried to change that on my profile but there was no possibility to
do that. Maybe someone here knows...

RPCA Awards Suggestions. by
tanadashoes
In One of Mark's posts I suggested that he receive the "Dave Yehuddah
voice of un-reason RPCA award" for his work. Either that or time in a
drug re-hab.
Use your imagination and suggest awards for various excellence in RPCA
submissions. I'll start with:
Dave Yehuddah voice of un-reason...

Krazy Kat!!! by
Marina
Maybe I've mentioned a few times before that Caliban is a Food Hound. It
must be hard for a FH to live with a vegetarian hoomin, but Caliban has
adapted wonderfully. You'd think I could have my vegetarian dishes in
peace, but Caliban is of the opinion that a FH's duty is to beg for
their...

Job purrs, please by
Daniel Mahoney
Nancy has an interview Thursday morning in Ames. It would be a bit of a
commute for her (about an hour each way), but it sounds like it could
be a job she would enjoy. Then next week she has an interview here in
town with a financial services company for a job.
Good luck purrs would be...

Charming (?) bedtime rituals by
Susan M
Every night in this desert-like climate, I put thick Carmex lip balm on my
dry lips and crawl into bed. Every night, Otis circles around, and settles
with his shedding fur onto my tacky lips. Tarred and feathered lips every
night ;-)
Every night, Otis waits until we settle down in bed, jumps...

Poor starving visitor kitty by

I've mentioned before about how we feed some neighborhood strays in
addition to our own indoor crew. Shorty and Calicat have been regular
visitors, with Calicat dropping by every morning and evening for food and
pets. For the last month or so we've been seeing a new visitor - a black
kitty I have...

Return from the fog of flu by
Julie Cook
Sending purrs to anyone in need lately. DH and I have been battling the
flu bug and I'm not quite up to wading through all the messages yet.
I've scanned for purr requests and asked my group to send them as needed.
I've been wanting to share with you the latest Barnabus escapades and
will have to...

I have been quite ill over the last few days......flu kinda thing, coughing and sniffling a lot and generally feeling miserable. Last night I was coughing quite a lot, Gizmo was sitting on my lap (providing healing purrs), everytime I coughed she would meow, even if she was asleep. AND, I don't...

Fun for cats...not so much for hoomins by
badwilson
The day before Dennis left to go back to work, he decided to buy some new
furniture for us. They are delivering it today. We got one of those
Chinese step cabinets and we're going to use it for the TV, stereo and all
that stuff.
So, since Dennis has been gone for 3 days, I had to empty the old...
