stool in urine? by
[email protected]
My cat Snuggles has been having dis-colored stool sometimes lately
(yellowish in color) and softer then her normal. My vet said to give
her food higher in fiber, and this has seemed to help, but she still
has the yellowish stuff sometimes. Today I noticed what looks like
some of the yellowish...

Winter is Here! by
[email protected]
Last night, it got to 10F with a 20+ mph wind, gusting to 30+.
Woke up this morning to see Boswell (20# Maine Coon) sitting in the
middle of the back yard on the picnic table facing *into* the wind
with what is best described as a s**t-eating grin on his face. If ever
there was a cat that loves...

Self-warming thermal cat cushion by
JEP
Has anyone used the Sleep Right self-warming thermal cat cushion? This is
not an electric or heating pad product, but a cushion made of material that
is supposed to reflect the cat's body heat back to the cat. I thought it
would be a good idea now that winter has set in and it's colder in the...

What was the brand of that Target Litter? by
Janet
I went to Target today with the idea of getting this inexpensive, house
brand litter, but there didn't appear to be any such thing.
There was a brand called "Pet" something, but an employee said it was not a
house brand.

steve84
I have two 1 1/2 year old cats that get in to everything. We have a

anybody know of a safe way to use the fireplace without worrying about

Hi All, especially Phil who has been wonderful to me and others in the

Nothing earth-shatteringly new in this post but yet another cautionary
tale.
I moved to Montreal from Vancouver last year, having had wonderful
veterinary care from my 2 vets there and the Critical Care Group for...

Dry food without fish? by
Ken[_4_]
I feed my cat three times a day, one meal dry food. I just belatedly
discovered her Purina dry food contains fish meal. She seems to be
allergic to fish and shellfish. Can anyone suggest a dry food that does
not contain either? A product from a good company unlikely to be
contaminated next time...

My Amazingly Clever Cat by
Janet
A couple of days ago my cat was driving me somewhat crazy all
afternoon/evening, following me around and meowing. I checked her food and
water, and made sure that the bathroom door was open so that she could get
to her litter box, which I made sure was clean. She didn't appear ill: she
was just...

need advice on giving eye drops to a kitty by
Nadia N.
Any advice on giving a cat eye drops?
My little Sweety (who is not so little anymore) has a scratch on her
third eyelid, and the vet gave us two types of eye drops for her - one
to prevent infection and one for pain.
I've only given her the first dose so far. But I don't know how to keep
the...

care for pets by
Loving Pets
I have an 18 year old cat whose fur is badly matted. I have not been
able to successfully groom her. Is it dangerous to have her sedated at
this age to have her professionally shaved/clipped? Do you have any
suggestions for dealing with this problem?
