[OT] Still no answers by
CatNipped
I just got back from the doctors and I still don't have any definitive
answers.
The good news... the cyst on the kidney they were talking about was one we
already knew about, on the *left* kidney, not the right. The stones have
moved from the kidney to the bladder and there was some swelling...

[OT] Still No News by
CatNipped
Called the surgeon's office again... he still hasn't called me back. Called
my PCP's office and asked them to get the test results... haven't heard from
them either.
My upper stomach is getting more distended, I can't eat, I'm still not going
to the potty (after *8* Ducolax in the past 24...

[OT] stunning photos of my neck of Australia by
Yowie
My photos of my home town and surrounds, although plentiful, hardly do the
natural beauty of the place any justice.
This professional photographer, though, has captured the beauty of the
Illawarra region (and a few other places) beautifully:

[OT] Sublingual B-Viatmin Complex? by
CatNipped
Wasn't there someone here (Winnie maybe) who was going to try taking the
sublingual b-vitamins on my recommendation?
I was wondering how they were working. I know I have about 100 times as
much energy as I used to, but I've also lost a lot of weight and some of it
could be attributed to that. I...

[OT] Surgery by
Ginger-lyn[_2_]
I saw my oncologist on Friday, and he agreed with the other two doctors
that I need surgery for the precancerous condition. The whole day was a
horrible mess, and the office visit was a nightmare, but I'll spare you
the details. Suffice to say I am scheduled for surgery on May 21st,
although...

[OT] Survey, just for the fun of it by
[email protected]
I found this in an old email and thought folks here might have some
fun with it. Feel free to embellish answers, avoid questions, and make
up outright lies if it entertains you. :) Oh, and I'll post my answers
soon, too, but I thought it would be easier for folks to respond if
they didn't have to...

[OT] Sydney Race Riots: Purr request by

Can people please purr pray or send good thoughts to Sydney, Australia.
We're in the middle of race riots.
I am appalled and disgusted, I am saddened and dissapointed. Mosly I just
feel sick.
Australia, the Australia I knew, the Australia I emigrated to when i was 4,
the Australia I grew up...

[OT] Tactfulness, thy name is Mom (not) by
Monique Y. Mudama
Let me preface this by saying that I love my mother. She is a good
person, she's kind-hearted, and she doesn't mean to hurt anyone.
It's just that she seems to have no filter between her brain and her
mouth.
So yesterday, I'm on the phone with my parents. I tell them I was
going to get a few...

[OT] tail-wags for Dixie by

My former boss unexpectedly ended up taking care of a friend's
Doberman/who knows what puppy, after the friend ended up having to
be out of town for five weeks at a client site. My former boss has an
elderly cocker-spaniel mix, Dixie, who is diabetic, blind, and not
happy about having her house...

[OT] Tax Cuts for Canned Hunting! by
Pat
It's one thing to allow the point-blank shooting of defenseless animals in
fenced enclosures, but it's quite another to get a tax cut for doing so.
As reported in a front-page exposé in The Washington Post, wealthy hunters
have been killing a few "extra" animals, donating the trophies...

Anyone know much about telescopes? I was given a Tasco 66TE one with some
extra eyepieces. I am clueless as to the purpose of the extra eyepieces, and
the long tube with a glass in in about 1/3 of the way up (is this an
extension peice or something else)? Naturally, it didn't come with a manual...

[OT] That way lies madness.... by

Our interest rates are going up, so we're in the process of re-shuffling
our finances so our credit cards won't kill us.
We've also factored in some omney so we can finally finish the home
renovations we started last year and were planning to finish earlier this
year when my anual bonus came...

[OT] The big rollover by
[email protected]
Sometimes I really wish I had a camera. Most of the time, that's
because there's a cat doing something cute and I want to show
everyone. But once in a great while, I want to take a picture of
something other than a cat (but don't tell my guys, they might
get huffy).
As I was getting into my car at...

In Paris, TN, a deer charged into a bank through a plate-glass window,
trampled several desks, and eventually ended up trapped in the branch
president's office. The president kept the office door shut to keep
the deer confined until a...
