Soft, slimey stools? by
Jo Damen
Ever since Mollie was diagnosed with tonsillitis a few weeks back, her
stools have been soft.
The tonsillitis cleared up within a couple of days, but these stools have
remained. We thought it might have been the antibiotics, but it would have
cleared up by now if it was.
The stools still seem...

vomit outside litter box? by
[email protected]
Is there any connection about my kitten throwing up in proximity near
the litter box? Few days ago I saw a few dry food pellets with liquid
threw up just outside of the litter box. Today I saw the exact same
thing in the exact same spot. The pellets are just barely wet and
still in full...

Cat, porch, winter by
Kiran
My cat is about 5 lb and medium hair. She loves to spend all her time
in the back porch, which is covered and protected from rain and snow,
partially protected form winds, but it is not heated.
It is still September, I can read 87 degrees. The cat is busy ignoring
me and looking at the trees and...

Food recommendations by
Rhino
I'm looking for some recommendations for good food for my two cats. Samba is
female and spayed, while Bebop is male and neutered. Both are 5 and a half
years old. They are indoor-only cats.
When they were a few months old, my vet recommended that I give them cd/s,
which is now called c/d. This is...

Happy Birthday Stella! by
if 6 were 9
Our Stella is two years old today. She started her day with a walk
along the top of the door and a run around with her sister. Her present
this year is a little ball that chirps and rolls around by itself. She
seems to have all the other toys. So far today, all she's done is sleep
and sniff shoes....

Need Advice on Injured Paw/Missing Claw by
Meghan
2 weeks ago my 2 year old indoor-only Manx "Gray" managed to rip out his
front right index claw. After 2-3 days it started to smell terrible so off
to the vet we went. The vet said it may or may not grow back, and
prescribed Amoxi drops to fight off infection.
Gray has a big problem taking any...

Harriet update, back in the hospital by
Elizabeth Blake
I took Harriet to the cats only vet this morning. She still wasn't able to
go to the bathroom since her last hospitalization on Tuesday/Wednesday. I
called the cat vet this morning and they said I could drop her off between
8:00-9:30am. It was already 8:15, and it takes me about an hour to get...

tensing up motions by
scullycat
Hi all again,
So I just got this 2 and one half yr.
old cat from the shelter. She's been there 2 yrs. (didn't get along with
other pets, so no one adopted her.)
Tonight I'm lying on the bed with her and she looks so comfortable, and
husband noticed that she has these mild jerking motions while...

Care for Cat after operation? by
Cat Mom
Dear fellow cat-lovers,
I was wondering if anyone could advise, or if you've been in a similar
situation.
I'm out of my mind with worry.
Our little 7 month old male kitten, Socrates, a tortie-and-white
Domestic Shorthair, was operated on yesterday. The Veterinary surgeon
removed a very long piece...

Intact Male unirary habits by
Malcolm53
I am new to the group but I have a serious question to ask.
Our 7 year old intact male russian blue has been accused of urinating
on cars in an open parking area with a stranger present. My question
is about the probability of this happening.
This would be a new activity for him as he has never...

Like New Orleans, the Kwazy Kat Floods will subside by
Brian Link
A lot of you are pretty ****ed by the kwazy kat's recent fascination
with this group. Not all of you are Usenet veterans, though, so I
thought I'd pass on a short word of comfort.
This particular asshole is savvy enough to change its nym frequently
enough to defeat filters. It delights in stirring...

Scabby Cat - Any thoughts? by
jools
Hi
A while back we took-in a stray neutered tom cat which wasnt in the greatest
of conditions. It had a number of chunks of hair missing and was quite
scabby - which I initially assumed he got fighting with other cats.
Although his general overall condition (put on weight) has improved he...
