Cats Necks are Bald from Collars! by Billy
We just realized that our 5 and 6 year old cats necks are bald where the collar sits. It's like the collars molded a strip of their necks hairless. I can see the skin of the cats where the collar lies on both. Is this harmful? Painful? Have you seen this phenomenon? What is the solution?

Hi. My cat Al has had a rough go of it the last 6 months. First, pancreatitis, which necessitated a week's stay in the hospital. Then, hypoglycemia about 3 weeks ago---scared the sh*t out of me! I give up. Although I've found this group useful in the past, and enjoy reading people's "cute kittie" stories, I can't take the gross, violent posts any more. I'll miss those of you who truly care about cats, but don't have the stomach to wade through disgusting bloody crap from mentally ill...

Bald spot after Frontline treatment by KellyH
I treated my foster cat yesterday with Frontline because I saw a flea in the carpet in her room and she was scratching. I thoroughly cleaned and vaccuumed the room. Today, I noticed a nickel-size bald spot on her, near where I applied the Frontline. I'm not sure if the spot is exactly where the...
