Cruising Cats: An unexpected offer by
Annie Wxill
Tuesday, March 28, 2006
Today, we came upon the sailboat that we had seen tied to the bollard by the
West Port Arthur Bridge. When the sailor did not respond to a radio call,
Jim pulled up alongside him and asked where he is headed.

Cruising cats: March 26, 2006 by
Annie Wxill
Sunday, March 26, 2006
We left our anchorage, along with some stowaway mosquitoes, and turned into
the main channel, where we saw tows with large loads tied to floating
bollards just before the West Port Arthur Bridge. They dwarfed a sailboat
that was tied to the last bollard. We recognized...

Sorry if I already posted this longer version of the alligator day. I kind
of lost track of where I was. This is posted using Outlook Express, so,
let's see how it works.

Big hairball by
badwilson
Woke up last night to the sound of Vino puking. Got up and found a big
hairball in the hallway. I cleaned it up and went back to bed.
Now I'm thinking that Vino might have been feeling bad for the last few
days. He's been sleeping *a lot*. I hope he feels better today.
It's very rare for him to...

Vigil. by
Helen Miles
Pandora's home - I picked her up a while ago. She's asleep (exhausted)
in her thick comfy bed in my study. All 4 of the other cats are in the
meatloaf position, purring in a circular vigil around her.
Quite unbelieveable if I didn't see it myself with my own eyes.

They know her by her food by
jmcquown
Went to the vet's office pick up a bag of Hill's x/d for Persia. One of the
techs came up front, spotted it on the counter and said, "Hey! You must be
Persia's mom!" G Then she proceeded to tell me how much she loves Persia,
and Peaches, too! She did tell me something I hadn't realized. When...

Ahh, Spring! by
Kreisleriana
It's over 60 degrees F. I can see crocuses and daffodils from the
window. Two black and white cats are sitting in the sunshine, the
gentle breezes making their little whiskers quiver. ;) Sunday we
begin Daylight Savings Time. We;ve made it through another winter,
folks (in the Northern...

The mighty huntress Roadcat strikes again! by
Dan M
Nancy works some really long hours, but fortunately is able to do some of
her work from home. Consequently she frequently doesn't leave the house
until a hour or two after I do.
This morning she was getting ready for work when she heard a commotion out
in the kitchen. When she went to look,...

My new fake cat by
Mark Edwards
I ordinarily have three or four feline "helpers" near my desk at
home. I cannot have cats at work (darn it!). So I thought I'd get a
stuffed cat for my desk. It looks like this (pardon the quality of my
camera phone's images):

BW--Spring Outing--long by
CATherine
After the big snow storm, the weather got real nice. Some of the snow
is still out there; but the air has that warm softness you find only
in the spring. So I decided to take the cats out one at a time on the
harness.
(side note: when I first got the harnesses a few years ago, I took
all three...

Basho's 1-2 technique by
Victor Martinez
Basho had an interesting double-pronged technique to wake up his daddies
today. Tom normally wakes up by 6am, brews his coffee and feeds the
cats. Last night he came in very late from work (pledge season at our
local PBS station) so he was still asleep around 6:30. At this time,
Basho decided it...

Pandora UPDATE by
Helen Miles
We've located Pandora. I recieved a call from my vet telling me that she
had been brought in as an RTA as she was found on the side of the road
at about 9am by an elderly good samaritan. She is alive, with nothing
broken, but is bruised, battered and shaken and she has torn some
muscles in her back...

Another Andrea Fuller update... by
Helen Miles
Sorry I didn't post about this earlier, I've been mega busy.
On Saturday, I saw/caught up with Andrea Fuller. I have to say, although
she's not in brilliant health, she is still the same feisty, funny lady
she always has been. Bright and cheerful and in good spirits.
She says hello to everyone,...

Cruising cats: visit to TED by
Annie Wxill
Ahoy,
Because of the ineptitude of their two crew members, Rosie and Cinder
had to see TED today.
Before we left, Jim & I had purchased enough Revolution to last several
months. We wanted to be sure that the kitties would not be tormented by
fleas that we may track onto the boat, or heartworms from...
