Christmas at Critterland by
Stormin Mormon
CHRISTMAS AT CRITTERLAND
Twas the night before Christmas and all over the farm
The critters were snuggled all cozy and warm.
The sheep in the barn and the goats in their stall
Were snuggled down, chewing their cuds, in the straw.

What a nice way to wake up! by
O J
Hi All,
Some of you may remember my story of the little kitten who didn't
play. That was my sweet little Persian, Roxy. She had been "owned"
by a couple who just had to have everything too too perfect and got a
Persian because they wanted a 'purebred' to match their decor. At
least they had the...

Adoption update: we didn't get Lucky... by
Jo Firey
"Singh" wrote in message
...
Now this cat is sweet natured, a little under two years old, a bit shy
and simply gorgeous with emerald-green eyes and a figure like a Bastet
figurine. And why is this little gem in a shelter; why have...

[OT] You know its time to wax... by
Yowie
You know its time to wax when you notice your 6 month old son staring
intently at you. You think its incredibly cute and adorable until he slowly
reaches out his hands to explore the thing that has his rapt attention....
And grabs your "nanny goat" chin hairs.
Guess its time to go back to the...

Mithu is a patient big brother by
Caroline S.
We got a cute series of pics of Catherine and "big" brother Mithu. He
tolerated some pats, some ear pokes, and being used as a pillow. Catherine
was overjoyed with the whole experience.

Planning ahead by
Yoj
I'm planning a trip to Australia next year, probably the first three
weeks in April. I expect to visit Sydney, Brisbane, Alice Springs,
Uluru, Perth and Adelaide, in that order. If there are any posters here
who live in or near one of those places, maybe we could get together to
say...

Natasha Visits TED by
Jeanne Hedge
Today was Natasha's quarterly visit to see TED. Natasha visits TED
every 3 months because she's borderline CRF, which the doctor wants to
keep a close eye on due to her age (17).
When time came to go to see TED, Natasha was sleeping. This is a good
thing, I think, because I knew she hadn't had a...

Mattie goes out by
Bridget
I've had my newest owner for about a month now and I decided that it was
time to start training her for life as a service animal. Boy is she
good. She's had a harness on her before, but this time I added a leash.
Her initial reaction was to lay on her side and play with the cool
ribbon dangling...

I guess SOMETHING smells good......, by
Mischief
I've been getting into springboard diving at school. I have three
towels I use, and normally I just hang them up in the locker; and I
finally brought them home to wash. They're not THAT icky, but it was
time.
One of them Mischief has starting rubbing all over. So I laid it out
on the floor for...

Victor's Photos Question by
CatNipped
Victor, I've been meaning to ask (going out to look at the pictures Annie
posted reminded me again)... were the pictures you posted on "RPCA Pictures"
professionally done (I noticed one said "Photo by Tom..." - is that your
Tom, is he the photographer?)? If they were not done by a...

Francis... by
dirtylitterboxofferingstospammers
.... is not acting like a cat at death's door. he is *himself*. He is a bit
thinner than he used to be, but he is eating, he is playing, his eyes are
bright, he loves being out in the garden... he is *himself*. The steroid
injection, the beta-blocker and the renal food seem to be doing the trick,...

He had no recipe;
He knew He wanted something sweet,
As sweet as sweet could be.

New (old) cat toy by
EvelynVogtGamble(Divamanque)
I have seen references in the past to a toy I FINALLY
located! The battery operated ball with attached fur
squirrel/raccoon/whatever. I'm having a little difficulty
with the on/off switch - either it won't stay on or (once in
action) doesn't want to switch off again - but Melisande
LOVES it! And...

Otis - how being lost has changed him by
Susan M
Hi all:
Otis finally seems all settled, about a month after he was trapped and
brought home. He ran away from everyone but me when we got home and was
super twitchy. It is amazing how strongly we are bonded - I guess that
nobody else caters to his craziness like I do and he appreciates...

'nip sock by
dirtylitterboxofferingstospammers
Another sign Francis is perking up...
After this morning's constitutional round the garden with Nathan, Francis came
in and pounced on his favourite toy - a 'nip sock (one of my old socks with
catnip inside it and the open end knotted closed). Francis decided the 'nip
sock was highly dangerous and...

"Find your way home" purrs needed by
KellyH
My little Antonio, a 1 year old semi-feral, has been missing since Monday.
The front screen door is broken, and we've been keeping it locked to keep it
secure so the cats can't get out, but one of us must have forgotten to lock
it. I had 4 (out of 7) cats get out. The others are all regular...
