A good age to snip a male cat by
Paul M. Cook[_2_]
So Sal is about 8 months old we figure. He has not yet been neutered. I
was planning on having it done next week but now I am beginning to wonder.
Would there be any harm in postponing the surgery a few months, maybe until
January? My beloved and deceased Buddy was neutered fairly late in his...

helping a cat process a death? by
Tom+Gracie+Jenny
We have the two calicos, Gracie and Jenny, sisters from the same
litter, two and a half years old.
We did, rather. Today, Jenny passed away. I found her lying there,
did artificial respiration, rushed her to a vet who pronounced her
dead, probably of a heart attack.
Before we did the cremation...

Our Health by

This message is quite long, but I feel that it should be read,
especially by seniors.
I am one of those seniors, the health care we receive in the system
today is outrageous. we are treated in such a way that it makes you feel
that you are just a number going through a production line. With...

Exercise equipment and a perch up near the ceiling. by
John Doe
My cats get to hear and see what's going on outside (and if possible
smell it too), they get lots of exercise too. We've used a Skyway
for years, but recently doubled up on the carpeted boards.
Apparently it's beginning to have the effect I was hoping for, that
they would use it for napping and...

Is dry food okay? by
Jeff Caspari
Hi,
We have a new kitten and we have been feeding him Purina dry mix. The vet
said she believes cats that eat dry food as the main meal will develop
kidney problems, etc.
Is that true? Why can't they make a dry food that won't cause problems?
TIA
Jeff

They are acting normal now so maybe it didn't hurt much.

This happened today and it upset me and my son who was visiting. The

Keep on the lookout for tapeworm segments. The cat could get a tapeworm
if it ingests rodents or fleas. I had a cat years ago who used to throw
up whenever she had a tapeworm. In her case that was the only noticeable
symptom as her fecal exam came back negative....

Sal's big day by
Paul M. Cook[_2_]
Well today is Sal's surgery. No more nuts for my little nut. I certainly
won't miss those little huevos. I suspect his "aroma" is making my big male
feel ill at ease. And of course his litterbox needs changing every few days
so that I can breathe through my nose. So he's grown a lot in 6...

Superflous de-worming? by
Stefan P.
Hi, I was just wondering if de-worming a cat that doesn't actually
demonstrate any obvious signs of infection can have any averse effects
on it's health?
Is it also possible that any future worms might have developed a
resistance toward the medication if I regularly medicate?

He has slowly over the years grown to be almost totally feral and
before I laid down the law was only coming inside for 5 minutes at a
time to eat.
I decided that I didn't want the situation...
