Mouth Ulcers HELLLLP! by
Patty Jo
I have a kitty with ulcers in her mouth. This is driving us both crazy!
She tries to eat, gets a few bites and then screams, runs and gives up.
I've had her to the vet. First he said she just needed her teeth
cleaned that it was caused from plaque build up. We did that. After a
week it was...

cat with vaginal infection by
Rona Yuthasastrakosol
I am fostering a kitten who has a vaginal infection. It was first
diagnosed by the vet about two weeks ago when she was just 6 weeks.
He suggested waiting a week before giving her antibiotics because she
was quite small. A week later, the infection was getting worse (more
pus coming out) so he...

Help/Info on lung cancer? by
scripteez
Hi -
I just returned from the Vet because my cat has been dry coughing for
the past week (indoor cat, never had health problems before, 8 yrs
old)
After an exam finding labored breathing they took X-Rays and it looks
as if the poor guy's got lung cancer - the area around the lungs were
pretty...

Starving Cats???? by
DDALEX
I have 2 cats. One is a male 3 1/2 year old, the other a one year old
female. The older cat is 13.2 lbs and the younger 10.5. The vet said
their weight is fine, but I shouldn't let them get any heavier. By
looking at them, I think they're a little on the "pudgy" side compared
to other cats.
I...

MOUTH ULCERS (UPDATE) by
Patty Jo
Had Kiki to the vet today. He suspects stomatitis.
He gave her an injection of Depo-Medrol which he says seems to be
working well in a number of his patients with the same problem.
He advised against pulling teeth if it isn't necessary as it could
cause more problems if one were to break off or...

Where are you? We can disagree about things--even passionately. Even Phil.
;) But that doesn't mean you have to clam up. I miss hearing about your
cats, and want to know how things are going with the new "children."
Please come back an give us an update.

Weighing your cat: an interesting idea by
Rene
I subscribe to Ca****ch (a newsletter published by Cornell). They had
an article about caring for cats' health problems, and mentioned a
couple's solution to getting an accurate, regular weight on their cat:
going to the post office!
They would take their cat in the carrier (after hours) and weigh...

Question about cat with leg tumor (longish) by

Hello,
I'm somewhat confused about a situation with my cat, and would really
appreciate some informed advise. To start, I have a cat who is approximately
15 yrs. old who has a large growth on his left-rear leg - it's about the
size of a small peach and is ulcerating the skin to the point where...

Is my vet too expensive? by
Sunflower
I just read a discussion where a vet had quoted $400 to spay a cat and
everyone
thought that was ridiculous. Well, I suspect my vet's bill would come
close to that,
by the time you added in pre-op bloodwork, etc. etc. (There's always
a lot of etc.)
I don't know, because my girls were spayed by...

Icarus Attacks by
Cat Protector
I was wondering if any of you had an idea how to get Icarus to stop
attacking my other cats. He seems to always chase after Isis and there has
been some agressive wrestling and biting. As a result she cries, growls and
hisses, then she runs away from him. He then still chases after her. I
figured...

My Cat's Tail by

Hello folks. I came home from eating dinner tonight and started petting my

tail was all the way down. Maceo is a year-old Siamese mix and his tail is
always up flowing like a question mark. There is some movement.. when I...

Impaction? by
Jennifer
My cat, Toby, has a dark-colored, hard bump on one side of his anus.
It's a little smaller than a baby-pea. I can also just barely see a
very small bump on the other side. He hasn't exhibited any signs of
anal gland problems, though - no scooting, etc. He eats dry Iams food
and isn't overweight....

I got home from meeting my new feline brother, Henry, in Indiana to find that

there were a couple of minor altercations while I was gone...as I...
