Desperately need advice by [email protected]
I posted earlier under "Cat tunnels" and included a link to a product at Drs. Foster & Smith. It's a mesh tunnel that kitty can be in and get some outside time, but be safe. Closed on both ends. My little deaf cat is frantic about trying to get outside, and she's limber and fast....and determined....

OT?: I just want to tell a story about my declawed cat. LONG (and maybe boring). by -Lost
OT?: I just want to tell a story about my declawed cat. LONG (and maybe boring). NOTE: I am not a good "storyteller." I just want to write a bit. Gabby first came to run my life almost a year ago now and one of my first questions arose from the misconceptions taught to me most of my...

indoor cat escaped by Lee Frette
We have a lot of cats. All were born in the wild and came to live with us at various stages in their lives. When we bring them in, they are neutered, get their shots, and never go outside again. A seven year old female (Squeaky) came to us about 7 years ago at around five weeks of age. A little...

Acevet for vet visit? by Riannon via CatKB.com
My vet has recommended Acevet or valium be given before an appointment for one of my cats who becomes hysterical whenever he is at clinic. I tried to get blood drawn recently and he screamed (yes, screamed) and started biting. We put a muzzle on him (which he loved of course!) but he kicked and...

cat spraying on the food dish ? by UsedtobeRumouredToBe
We feed several feral cats, almost all of which have been spay/ neutered. We have been unable to corral one of the cats, and he is spraying around outside our house a lot. In fact, I saw him eating some of the food and drinking some of the water that we always leave out, and when he was finished...

Chips and cancer by Paul M. Cook[_2_]
I have been reading terrible things about the transponder chips. They are calling it the "cancer chip." I have a cat that came to me pre-chipped. I am seriously considering having it surgically removed. My sister did this to her two chipped cats and it as not especially easy for the surgeon...

Is it ok to feed my cat olive oil? by Joelberg
Sometimes I put tuna juice on my cat's dry food and he eats it up faster than normally. However, I don't always eat tunafish and that means I don't always have tuna juice available. Is it safe for my cat (or any, for that matter) to be fed olive oil or is this dangerous? What other oils are good to...

Training Your Cat (no it's not a joke!) by Georgia
Yes it IS possible! I'm sure you've heard the saying "you haven't been ignored until you've been ignored by a cat!" How true. Kitty rules the house in a number of homes, including mine. If you only thought that dogs could be trained, think again. You know your cat is wise. Infact they are so...

Cat has heart trouble, not poison or eye trouble by PRW
I posted earlier this week (under a different user name, I'm away from home and posting through Google instead of with Outlook Express from my home computer) about my cat, 4-year-old Maine Coon/Norwegian Forest Cat mix, who at first we thought had been poisoned because of dilated eyes and agitation...
