Foster Kitten update by
Mischief[_2_]
Kitten is growing even more...he's now a grand 1.5 pounds and had his
very first deworming pill on Wednesday....even swallowed it on the
first try, but gave me a "HEY! That wasn't food!"
Mayhem is still supervising when he plays on the bed, watching with
mild amusement.
tomorrow is my day off...

Foster kittens by
Marina
My niece is fostering a couple of kittens. They came from a pretty bad
situation: an old lady living in the country with no means of
transportation, who claimed she couldn't afford to have her cats
spayed/neutered. So she allowed her cats to breed indiscriminately. The
kittens lived in some...

Foster Kitty Needs Purrs by
JoJo
Hi gang. I've had a rough week. First off on Tuesday my father passed out
on the floor. I'm thinking he had a heart attack, immediately call 911.
Long story short - one heart med he was on caused him to have heart palps so
he took three nitro tablets - that mixed w/the heart meds caused his...

foster kitty still sick by
Bridget
I am really worried about her now. Her ribs are evident and I think she
is very dehydrated. I am going to be taking her to a different vet
because I don't think the one I took her to - the one I take mine to for
shots because he is cheap - is good enough for serious things when it
comes right...

Foster kitty update by
Bridget
Well, she is home from kitty hospital. She is MUCH better. She ate
half a large can of food tonight. I've never seen her eat so much. She
acted like she was starving. Amazingly enough, when I brought her home,
there was no hissing and spitting from everyone because she smelled like
the vet,...

Fosterers: Stand and Be Recognized! by
jmcquown
Some unknown folks emailed Sherry, thinking she was taking Angel to the
shelter because of her "antics". Angel was a fostered kitten, ready for a
forever-home.
If you foster cats, please stand and be recognized!

fostering a VERY BIG kitten by
Jack Campin
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14240681
(Two men in London in 1969 buy a lion cub from a department store
and get him back to Africa... not the end of the story).
As they say in the interview, no way would they do something like
that now. They must have had a lot of money, but a fair bit of
sense...

Fostering is *SO* worthwhile. :o) by
Helen Miles
I had a lovely suprise saturday. The adoptive mom and dad of 2 very
sick, very feral, very timid and terrified kittens that I fostered in
September '04 stopped by out of the blue and knocked on my door. When I
got the kittens, they were infested with roundworm to the point they
were puking them up,...

found a Christmas ornament that resembles my Casey by
yepp
http://schatzistreasures.com/images/apersiancat.jpg
I got one. Should be here before Christmas. Casey passed Monday from
kidney failure. This sorta looks like him.
Bobby is missing the Case man as I am. Whenever there is a noise,
Bobby runs to see if it is Casey. I swear I thought I heard him...

Found a yucky thingy by
Pat[_4_]
Someone up-chucked on the floor and the pile appeared to contain a rubber
band - which turned out to be a live worm (not a tapeworm) about 4" long and
maybe 1/16" diameter.
I looked up this type of worm and learned that it's hard to eliminate
because it migrates through various organs in the...

Found cat update by
Karen AKA Kajikit
Silver calmed down in about three hours and stopped hisspitting at her
sister... then John came home and he told me to bring the carrier out
to the livingroom to see what she'd do. Scouty came along took one
look at the monster in the carrier and fled the room... Silly hid
under the table and...

Found me! by
Jane
Well, it seems that I have been adopted by another kitty. Last night
during a very wet rainstorm, I heard howling outside. I went to the
door and in strolled this very wet and dirty black and white tuxedo
kitten. She looks about 3-4 months old, you know, bigger than a bitty,
but not quite...

I found this on the computer after taking a short break:

I love you and always will, but now I have a problem. I've told you that
I'll accept whatever decision you decide to make about our relationship. I
am quite willing to be pawfasted with you, since marriage isn't an...

Found on the 'net.... LONG. by
Gandalf
Surfing the 'net late at night, as I sometimes do, I came across these
two stories. One personal, first. And the second, professional.
The first is all too familiar to those who have done rescue work.
The second one is just interesting, at least to...
