Amber is going to be ten next week. She has just recently started a new "habit". It started about three weeks ago. She comes into my room and jumps up on my bed about 4:30 AM. She then proceeds to slowly go up the left side, across my pillow, down the right side and across my legs and keeps...

FeLV testing & breeder responsibility by Gail Futoran
My husband and I recently acquired two purebred 3 month old kittens that turned out to be FeLV+ on ELISA, tested within 48 hours of bringing them home, with the older kitten testing IFA+ a few days after that. (I haven't had the younger kitten IFA tested yet.) The breeder, who had given us a...

Shiny Poop by Fleemo
Please forgive the graphic nature of this post, but I have a 6-month old cat who doesn't cover his poop. Lately I've noticed that his poop has a wet and glossy sheen to it. Not like diarrhea, his poops are solid, but they appear very glossy, perhaps mucasy. Might this indicate a health problem?

Tiger's poops by ---MIKE---
Tiger's poops always seem to be "strung" together. It must be undigested pieces of oat grass that he likes to munch on. Any other ideas? ---MIKE---

Cat licking patio by The Mermaid
My cat (14) has started licking the patio - anyone know why he does this? Salt content? It seems very strange. Also, he just licks at his food and doesn't seem as interested as he used to be - have tried several types of food now. Do they do patio flavoured food???!!! ;o)

Feline leukemia -- how young to test? by Priscilla H Ballou
Sprocket's vet says he's too young (four weeks at time of vet's appt) to test for feline leukemia. I forget what she said about when he'd be old enough. Can someone tell me? Thanks! Priscilla

Help: older cat can't walk by Jim W
My 15 year old cat was fine Saturday night, but when I got up Sunday morning, he couldn't walk. He could pull himself around on the floor, but could not stand up. He didn't seem to be in pain when I picked him up to go to the Vet. X-rays show some spinal problems. The first Vet suspected blood clot...

Okay, here's what I have experienced thus far: We found a spot where Rutherford (my ever-so-****ing-on-the-floor cat) had been spraying and squatting over and over, and we got some of that "Nature's Miracle" stuff. We wasted our money on that stuff - it didn't work at all. Tonight, after spending...
