The Wedding - some photos. by
Yowie
Pictures of me getting ready and the reception can be seen at:
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~drwatson/wedding/wedding.html
Note that I was rather distracted during the ceremony so couldn't take any
pictures of myself :-)
There are lots more photos to come, these are just off my own...

[OT] Christmas Carols by
Yowie
As is traditional at work, we got together for our last "all staff meeting"
and hten had a Christmas morning tea, and finished with us singing Christmas
Carols inthe foyer of our reception area (it has nice acoustics).
Again, this year, we sang a mix of traditional carols and Australian...

The landlord sold the building :-( by
Yowie
wrote in message
...
After two months shy of 19 years with Ken as my landlord, he finally
decided to get out of the rental business, and sold the building
(ironically, he sold it back to the same guy he bought it...

[OTish] For my Ego by
Yowie
After lots of badgering from family and friends, I'm going to enter a short
story writing competition.
Since I don't currenly have the wherewithall to write a new one (probably
won't until Cary goes to school), I figured I'd just use an old one.
But there are so many......
Would anyone care to...

OTish, New Computer by
Yowie
Hi folks,
I cracked with Joel's relentless pressure, and finally bought a new PC. It
has all the new fangled gadgets and numbers that a brand new "cool" computer
ought to have. Quite frankly, I thought all the old one needed was a good
hard drive format and re-build, because it ran Outlook...

[OT] OE help? by
Yowie
OK,
New PC has old HD installed (yay). I haven't lost all my pictures and I
didn't need to burn lots of disks. I even managed to retreive my old e-mails
and the old e-mail folders I had. So far so good.
Now, what I can't figure is how to retrieve and import / re-install all the
mail accounts I...

[OT] Why I have a first aid certificate by
Yowie
I was in Big W at lunch doing a spot of shopping. Suddenly a woman ran out
of the toy aisle screaming "what do I do what do I do?". She went back into
the aisle, and came back out holding her daughter, perhaps 3 at the most,
who had blood gushing down her face and was crying loudly.
A crowd of...

UPDATE#: Jean Hobbs by
Yowie
Jean rang yesterday. She's still sore, but feeling much better, and is now
capable of taking a few steps.
She wants to thank everyone for the cards - and yes, the nurses wondered if
she was famous somehow because she's been getting cards from all around the
world.
I was goign to visit today, but...

Blue? by
Yowie
I bought The Yowlet his first set of crayons. He didn't get too far with
them, so I packed them up and put them away for when he was a bit older
IBKFergus found the stash of crayons, and batted them to the floor. The
others lay there where they fell, but she *tortured* the blue crayon within
an...

China? by
Yowie
There's a possibility that I could get a long-term posting in China with the
company I work for. The oppurtunity would be fantastic, Joel would love it
and I think it would be great for Cary to be immersed in another culture and
language whilst he can still learn language the 'natural' way. I'd...

Spainy Cat needs purrs by
Yowie
I know some of you are fans of the blogger Cherie Priest and her cat,
Spainy.
Spainy left a "deposit" of blood & mucus on Cherie's floor the other day,
and was taken quickly to the vet, who found nothing wrong. He thought that
perhaps Spainy ruptured a blood vessel trying to cough up a hair...

[OT] Holiday Recipes by
Yowie
Haven't had a recipe thread here for *ages* (which in one way is a good
thing, I guess), but I like our recipe threads and felt like starting one,
troll or no.
Its getting close to the Holiday season, thought we might share a few of our
favourite recipes that we traditionally use to celebrate...

[OT] Just needed to vent by
Yowie
Sorry to dump this on you guys, but I need to vent somewhere that is
understanding and sympathetic and nonjudgmental. And this is the place.
Don't know if you know the story of Daniel, Joel's younger brother. 3 years
ago, Daniel had his drink spiked and as a result went off his rocker right
around...

[OT] Yowlet Update 30th March 5am by
Yowie
yup, me again, witht he insomnia. Ok, the insomnia started about 3am and
hasn't really let off. I've thrown up once, and as a consequence I now have
water cracker crumbs in my bed. They do make for an "interesting" lie down.
The panic has set in. I go to the obs later today, and I am pretty...

Thankyou by

A number of very kind and generous souls have given the most adorable gifts
and cards to Cary. I've tried to thankyou personally, but the e-mail
addresses I have for you don't seem to be working. I'm really sorry I don't
have the time to write toyou with a personal thankyou using actual...

[OT] Photo Editor by
Yowie
Can anyone recommend a "free" photo editor I can download? Fully functioning
shareware is good, but the stuff that has a free trial period then refuses
to work is worse than useless as they rarely uninstall neatly, and I don't
have alot of hard drive space left.
The most important features for me...
