fleas, Help!! by
[email protected]
hi,
I have two kittens at home. One is 6 months and the other is 4 months.
Recently, I found fleas on them. I have already used ultraguard plus
on them and used insecticide fogger for my place. I am not sure if this
will help to stop the fleas once and for all. I read online that fleas
tend to...

fleas... by
Mark_Galeck
A 10-month old spayed female, medium-long hair, 9 pounds, I got her a
few months ago, and I can't get rid of the fleas. Indoors only. I've
tried everything, repeatedly, Advantage, other flea ointments,
Capstar, spraying the whole apartment with flea-killer, sponge-ons
such as Zodiac, flea...

Fleas? by
Richard Evans
We have six cats, all indoor-only. One, a short haired tortie named
Motley, is very skittish and hard to get a hand on. A couple of weeks
ago I noticed a patch of fur on her back that was not laying smoothly.
It took me a while to get a hold of her, and when I ran my hand down
her back it felt...

Fleas? But it's November! by
Charles Packer
Wondering if there's an exceptionally high flea population in
the eastern U.S. at this time. Our cat brings in a dozen or so
every time he goes outside. My wife, who's in charge of the
cat, has abandoned chemical remedies and simply combs them out.
Where do fleas lurk, anyway, before they find an...

Fleas? or something else? by
carlene
We just adopted Lena from a very respectable pet orphanage. Supposedly
she was cleared by the vet at the orphanage, but since she came to the
household, she's been scratching more and more - left chin, right chin,
then all around the neck (but no other places). At first I thought her
skin was...

Flees biting kitten and ....... ME! by
Asfand Yar Qazi
Heya,
Sorry for cross-posting. Don't know which group to send to..
So, got this kitten from Charlton in South-east London. Absolute
bargain, only £20. Crazy little blogger. Does really stupid things.
Now about a year old.
But, since he's been going outside, a worrying phenomenon...

Flehming Reaction: Cause? by
Tony R
After some googling (and Wikipedia-ing), we realized that our cat is
"flehming." He's done it several times at one particular spot in the
bed. The weird thing is:
1) there's obviously no urine there, and
2) we have no female cats (or any other pets, for that matter).
Is there any other possible...

Flies & dry cat food ? by
UsedtobeRumouredToBe
I have a bowl of dry cat food in our backyard, for our "outside" cats,
and it is often over-run by flies; is there any way to get rid of 'em
(the flies) ?
Thanks,
Shell

Flinx is dying by
guynoir
He is my first cat. He has acute renal failure. I left him at the vet
with $1000, first they're going to do a blood test to see if it's worth
trying to save him. He's 6 years old. The day before yesterday, before
he crashed or even appeared sick, I decided that I loved him the most
of all the...

Flooring types and cats by
Dave
Hello,
Do you all have opinions on types of flooring that work well with cats? My
carpet is wearing out (it's old anyway), and I would like to replace it with
something different that my cats won't harm (either by clawing or peeing).
Obviously, tile would be a practical solution but it's cold in...

FLORIDA WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION OK'S KILLING CATS by
Dee
On May 30th, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission adopted
a policy to REMOVE AND KILL ALL FERAL CATS AND KITTENS on any land where
the commission deems the cats to be a threat of any kind to native
wildlife.
A 30 page Feral Cat Issue Assessment prepared by commission staff,...

Flotsam and Jetsam by
o
After visiting about 10 different Vet Offices, I know ONE reason (other
than their greed) why their fees are so high and they are so hard up for
money. Out of the 10 Offices I walked into, 9 had 3 women sitting on
their fat asses doing NOTHING. Instead of running an efficient lean
practice these...

Flovent use question by
Paula Sims
First of all, thank you everyone for your wonderful and thoughtful
responses regarding my cat's coughing. Since we did all the suggestions
you mentioned, we kept on the asthma route and find we get some relief
with Flovent. Yea!! Doc said it should take a week or so to see real
relief or stopping...

FLUDT by
K...........
Hi,
I posted a few weeks ago. Our 8 year old cat has FLUDT, and has had this
condition for about 6-7 years.
Recently he had a bad bout of FLUDT, which eventuated in hospitalization for
4 days and a catheter used as well.
Quite expensive.

Fluid pack - save or toss? by
Meghan Noecker
I have a partial fluid pack left over from Maynard. 600mL left along
with some unused needles.
Will this stay good for awhile? Should I save it in case I need it
with another cat? Should I donate it to a shelter in case they need it
Or should I just toss it?

Flushing Clumping Litter by
[email protected]
I'm new to caring for cats. Can I scoop out the waste from a litter box
filled with clumping litter, sift it and flush it? The only litter I'm
flushing is that clinging to the waste. It seems I should be able to,
bit I'm asking as my toilet seems to be clogging a bit from doing that.
Thanks!

FLUTD by
K...........
Hi there,
Our cat is about 7 years old, and was first diagnosed with Feline Lower
Urinary Tract Disorder (FLUTD) about 5 years ago.
5 years ago we were told to keep him on a diet of vet food such as Hills
'C/D' or similar. It was spelled out that we should use dry food as this
would make him...

Flutd food problems by
Jo
My 11 y/o cat is prone to calcium oxlates stones. He had been eating
Hill's x/d dry when he developed a food allergy. He was switched to
Hill's k/d dry but is allergic to that too (same main ingredients -
rice, corn, and chicken). The vet wants to put him on Hill's z/d dry
or (I think) on Hill's...
