Robbie update by Helen Miles
I have literally just spoken to the Animal Reception Center at Heathrow, and they said that Robbie arrived safely about 15 minutes ago. He's having his paperwork & microchip checked by the DEFRA vet now, and has been put into a kennel with a litterbox, bed, food and water to just catch up on...

Strange Senior Moments - Odds & Ends by NMR
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just relax and try to get used to the idea. AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH The reason congressmen try so hard to get re-elected is because otherwise they would have to try to make a living under the laws they'd...

OT Just How Dumb Are You Quiz by NMR
Just How Dumb Are You Quiz 1. What do you put in a toaster? The answer is bread. If you said "toast", then give up now and go do something else. Try not to hurt yourself. If you said, "bread", go to question 2. 2. Say "silk" five times. Now spell "silk". What do cows drink?

Advice request by Victor Martinez
I emailed our pet sitter with the following message: Our new alarm system keeps track of when it gets turned on and off and when doors are opened and closed. According to the records, you spent an average of 10 minutes per visit inside the house, including three visits of less than 6 minutes. When...

Oops! Poor Scouty! by Karen AKA Kajikit
I wondered where Scouty had gone because I hadn't seen her in about an hour... so I opened my closet door and she was sitting in the corner under my dresses! She must have walked in when I had the door open to put my shoes away in the shoe rack and she was so quiet that I didn't see her... she...

Pilling, a Favorite Topic by [email protected]
I'm sure trying to pill a cat is something we've all experienced and had a hard time with. But this is a new one. Arthur has asthma, and has to take Prednisone once a day. Now, I always pill the cats right before feeding (which you should do with Pred, anyway), and Internet always fights me. ...

No poop yet! by CatNipped
OK, I checked Jessie's litterbox this morning and still no poop! She's doing this on purpose, I know she is - she's squeezing those little hind legs together and holding it in just to spite me for making an appointment for her with TED this morning. Well, she's going to be very sorry when...

Purrr-fect pairing at nursing facility by Jo Firey
I still remember the nursing home kittens my sister-in-law brought home overnight twenty some years ago. They were six months old and on their way to the vet the next morning to be "fixed" They had been at the facility since they were babies. And were the very softest cats I've ever touched in...

Jessie Interim Update by CatNipped
I took Jessie in for her blood work - they took two full beakers (and had to stick both her front legs because one clotted too soon - poor baby keeps switching from licking one to the other). They're doing a CBC, geriatric panel, and thyroid screening. They're going to call me later this...

TED is EVIL by Steve Touchstone
Sammy, here, reporting on the newest threat from The EVIL Doctor. This afternoon when the hoomin brought in the mail, he said I had a Birthday Card from my TED. The hoomin says along with the birthday greeting, there was a complimentary offer of a free BATH! That may not sound too bad, I get bathes...
